The Queens of Cosplay: Year One in Review
By: The Queens of Cosplay Date: January 23, 2022, 7:18 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
The Queens of Cosplay made their debut at UCC X, in December
2020, and after a year's worth of official events, I thought it
would be interesting to look back at their history and the stats
from their first year in the company.
(These stats only apply to official UUC events and not
unofficial events such as Slippery When Wet or the Royal Rumble.
We might take a look at those later.)
As a team, The Queens of Cosplay stand at a combined eighteen
wins in our first year. Unfortunately, they stand at a combined
fifteen losses, a number skewed by the inexperience of some of
       our newer members.
The MVP for the team in our first year was easily Nadyasonika,
standing at a great seven wins and two losses in her first year.
She also had the most matches of anyone in the stable, with a
grand total of nine, thanks to her amazing performance in the
Fourth Tournament Series. Right behind her is stable leader Yaya
Han, with eight matches to her name, sitting at a positive five
wins and three losses. Unfortunately, at the other end of the
stable's own rankings sits Riki LeCotey, aka Riddle. With zero
wins and three losses to her name, we'll be looking to
       course-correct with her in 2022.
(On a related note, Nadyasonika is our highest ranked fighter
overall, sitting at #132 in the rankings. She'll be looking to
break into the top hundred soon, and then after that, her sights
are set firmly on the top twenty.)
The Queens fought against some tough women and some strong
stables throughout the past year, but some of them deserve
special calling out. Hellcats Incorporated and Young Gunz had
our number throughout our first year. We fought both teams twice
and lost all of our matches against them. Needless to say, we'll
be keeping a special eye out for them as we move through 2022.
On the other hand, Awesome Aries should probably watch out for
us. We fought them twice in official competition and won both
times against them. If I was stable leader Daniela Hantuchová, I
would be having her team watching the Queens of Cosplay very
       close.
Our biggest rival in our first year, however, is the Karate
Divas. Our teams clashed four times against each other, and at
the end of it all, we're tied up with two wins and two losses
apiece against each other. Perhaps we need to find a way to
       settle this rivalry between us...?
Looking ahead, 2022 should be an interesting year for us. The
Fifth Tournament Series is quickly approaching, an event we're
looking forward to, and another team expansion is planned soon.
The one division we don't have a woman in yet is the lightweight
division, a category we think we can make a big impact in, with
the right additions to our team.
