The Search For Cara - Chapter 1

Three weeks have passed since the incident at the Vixens
facility in New York. Harvey had been released from hospital
while Cara's whereabouts remain unknown. The Bunnies don't know
where he was and Harvey preferred it that way. He didn't want to
be found by them right now. Currently he was sitting in his
brand new office alone while two people were standing just
outside the door.
Kate: Thanks for coming. I didn't know what else to do.
Anna: No problem. How long's he been in there?
Kate: Since he was discharged. I've never seen him move from
behind that desk.
Anna: I'm starting to think he sleeps behind it.
Kate: I'm worried that he isn't sleeping at all. He's always
looking at that computer screen typing away and being
antisocial. A reporter came last week and Harvey threw a pencil
in his eye when he wouldn't leave.
Anna: That'd explain why he cancelled all of our interviews with
the press.
Kate: He did what?!
Anna: You didn't hear? Harv has ordered that we cannot speak to
the press or any other Stable until further notice. And that's
so frustrated considering the past events. Dana and Melissa beat
the life out of each other while Charlotte was part of the
greatest fight of all time; the FAC Lionesses dominated their
fights. Hell, Becky got her first win! How can we not talk about
that?
Kate: Come on. We're going to talk some sense into that prick.
Kate slams the door open and storms in.
Harvey: (Without looking up) You could've knocked first.
Kate: Don't care. What were you thinking cancelling the
interviews?
Harvey: Where do you think Cara went after her fight?
Kate: HARVEY!
Harvey: What?
Kate: WHY?!
Harvey: Because we need to focus on Cara. Plus after the
incident all their going to do is ask for the details about it.
And we cannot go through with that. And I'm pretty sure Anna
just told you why. I could hear you through the door.
Kate: What happened to you was horrible Harv. But you can't just
isolate us from the world.
Harvey: Actually I can. You signed a contract.
Anna: But I didn't. Remember Harv? If you wanted me, you had to
give me the option of leaving if I request it.
Harvey: I remember that perfectly. I also remember you calling
me a "s**t-d**k."
Anna: Good times. I also said that if you did something out of
line then I would personally testify against you if it goes to
court.
Harvey: Testify? What could I have possibly done?
Anna: Oh I don't know... giving the Bunnies counterfeit money?
Assaulting Danneel? Attempted murder? Spying on me and the other
RSI alumni's? Framing Paige Hathaway for murder? None of that
ring any bells?
Kate: Jesus.
Harvey: So what if you told that to someone? No one would
believe you.
Anna: And why's that?
Harvey: They're too unbelievable to be true. Anyone who was
there can say they were all they like but the fact that no
official UMMA reporter was actually present to record it...
Kate: There's no solid proof that it happened.
Harvey: Exactly.
Anna: What about that video of you pointing a gun?
Harvey: I've already had a long discussion with the police about
that. They ended up putting it down as just a "work." Whatever
that means.
Anna: You're unbelievable. [i](She storms out of the room,
slamming the door.)[/i]
Harvey: She'll forgive me. I'm certain of it.
Kate: I've stood by your side throughout some outlandish s**t
Harvey. But you're treading on thin ice right now.
[i]She stands up to leave.[/i]
Kate: Break that ice and I will tell Alison where this facility
actually is. I'm sure she'll be reasonable when she come.
Harvey: Is that a threat?
Kate: What do you think? (She leaves.)
Harvey loaded a video of the fight between Cara Delevingne and
Bella Thorne at Fearless. He was taking in Cara's fighting style
and noticed that she was fighting tactically. There was no sign
of aggression in her eyes.
Harvey: (To himself) If Cara is a maniac, why is she fighting
like that?
He picks up the phone and dials a number.
Harvey: This is Harvey Blake and I need you to come and meet
with me... I'll email you the location shortly... it's a matter
of life and death. Thanks, bye.
He hangs up and moves himself towards the lift, bumping into a
chair on the way. He hadn't quite mastered moving in a
wheelchair just yet.
