Next mornings meeting with Ai

The Next morning Dennis was walking the training facility with
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Dennis: Well I feel like today is a brand new day and I like
the prospects. Where is Michelle and where is Miss Miyazato
Jennifer: Michelle told me that she was going to pick up Ai
early and then she is going to come in to have a practice
sparring session with Maggie Cheung.
Dennis: Good lets go see if they have started yet. That would
be a pretty fierce fight if those two ever got turned loose.
Jennifer: I think so. Both have a ton of talent and I like
both of them.
Dennis: I would hate though to see either of them get hurt so
maybe we had better find them pretty quickly.
The two then head to the practice cage where Michelle and Maggie
have just started their session. Outside the ring they see Ai
standing there watching intently along with her new friend
Jessica Sanchez. Ai has signs of her brawl with Kacey to remind
her of what happened with a black eye and her cheek has a small
swelling where a cut had been opened up during the brawl. As
she moved around Dennis and Jennifer could tell that she was
still sore and stiff from the brawl.
Jessica: These two look great Ai, they are pretty evenly
matched and both look in great condition. I do not know much
about either Michelle or Maggie but maybe I can get some
pointers from both of them.
Ai: Thats good Jess. I have been friends with Michelle since I
was brought in to this stable and she has taught me a ton of
things. I just wish that I had her control. Look at how she
moves with confidence and lands blows seemingly at will. Maggie
is just as good but I don't think that she has Michelle's
quickness.
About that time Maggie lands a lightning quick barrage of
punches that seemed to take Michelle off guard and staggered
Miss Yeoh. Michelle gives a little smile and rights herself and
she bumps fists with Maggie congratulating her before the
session continues. The two circle one another for a second
before Michelle moves in and lands her own lightning quick
barrage which Maggie partially deflects and delivers a powerful
back fist that again staggers Michelle and opens a small cut on
the side of Michelle's face. Michelle wipes her arm across her
small injury and quickly charges back in landing several punches
and forces Maggie into the side of the cage where Maggie pulls
Michelle into a clinch. The two struggle there for a few
seconds with the intensity building as Maggie pounds on
Michelle's back and Michelle retaliates with some short
midsection punches. Dennis and Jennifer meanwhile are watching
with concern beginning to build as Michelle picks Maggie up and
throws her to the mats. The two struggle and just before Dennis
is about to call the two out, Michelle grabs Maggie into a half
nelson arm bar and Maggie is forced to submit to Michelle. Both
girls get to their feet to cheers from the others who had
surrounded the cage and as Michelle held out her hand for Maggie
to shake, Maggie shoves Michelle away.
Maggie: that was uncalled for Michelle, I hope that you
were'nt trying to hurt me.
Michelle: What did I do, You know that I have been working on
my submisson holds, You didn't have to hit me in the face.
Maggie: I was just trying to protect myself.
Dennis: Okay Michelle and Maggie its time to step back. Go
take five and calm down. In fifteen minutes i need both of you
in my office. Right now I need Ai in my office. Lets get back
to work everyone we have a big Open fight night coming up.
The group disperses and Ai follows Dennis to his office with
Jennifer. Inside the office Dennis offers both a chair and sits
down himself.
Dennis: Okay Ai you know why you are here. Lets get this
started. You know that I have a ton of confidence in you and
you have a ton of potential. Why would you put yourself in a
situation where you could get seriously hurt.
Ai: Im sorry but I am very competitive and Musgraves was
pushing me around like she owns me. Maybe she does but maybe
she doesn't. Im not going to take her disrespect for me sitting
down and if it takes fighting her, then that is what I want.
Dennis: Thats fine we have that match set at Open Fight night
but why risk injury by going after her like that.
Ai: I told you I'm very competitive and she should not have
started something that she couldn't finish. Musgraves and I
don't like one another and we may never like one another. But
no matter what. Im not going to take any disrespect from her.
Dennis: Please Ai, step back for a second. Im here for you. I
understand your frustration with Kacey, she frustrates me as
well but I need to hold this team together and I will not put up
with things like what you and Kacey did.
Ai: Like I said Im sorry for my actions. I should have come to
you but Kacey was not going to give me a chance. I think she
wanted this to happen, for me and her to beat the you know what
out of one another.
Dennis: Well let me tell you something and I expect this to
stay between you and me. Kacey thinks that i am showing
favoritism to you. She thinks that she has no one to turn to
and that no one on the team likes her. I know that is not true
but I need you to think about this. Go out there and fight her
in the cage. You two can beat one another to death there if
that is what you two want. I think that I know you well enough
to not do anything serious but please think about this. We are
coming on some serious times and some changes that will need to
be made. I ask that you not put yourself in any bad situation
again. If you need me I have an open door. We can talk anytime
just like with any of the other girls. I need this team to come
back together and get all of these bad things to end. Can you
help me with that.
Ai: I am willing to try but what if Kacey tries something
again, I can't promise that we won't fight again if she does try
something.
Dennis: Thats all im asking of you, I have talked to Kacey,
and she has agreed to avoid you until Open Fight Night. Please
think about my words for you okay. You are the future of this
stable and you have the potential to be a major superstar.
Don't disappoint me.
Ai: I won't disappoint you as long as you keep Musgraves off my
back.
With that the meeting adjourns and Ai walks out while Michelle
and Maggie walk in.
Dennis: Okay you two what was that all about out there.
Maggie: What, we can't have a practice session without some
tension.
Michelle: Sure boss, things happen in the cage and sometimes
tempers flare up. I apologized to Maggie and she apologized to
me. We are good. But we are also very competitive and neither
of us like to get hurt.
Maggie: Sure, I have always liked Michelle, She is one of my
favorites to spar with because she shows no fear and she tests
me to make me a better fighter. It was unfortunate that we had
words but like I said we are both competitors and we respect one
another's skill.
Dennis: Really what would have happened if I hadn't called you
two down.
Michelle: Well Maggie and I would have thrown down and settled
it like the two competitors that we are.
Dennis: exactly what Im talking about. Why would you two have
risked possible injury or worse getting on my bad side.
Maggie: Sorry boss. I wasn;t thinking, with all of this that
has been going on, I guess all of us are on pins and needles
here.
Michelle: thats what i was going to say as well. We are sorry.
Michelle and Maggie exchange a hug. all this time Jennifer has
been sitting back and finally she has something to say.
Jennifer: Okay i have a thought here. Open Fight Night is upon
us in a few weeks. If we are all in agreement here, how about
Michelle and Maggie stepping in the cage against one another.
This doesn't have to be a war. But it will show our girls and
the rest of the organization that you can be feirce competitors
and still in the end be friends. I know you two respect one
another and that is great. It would be a great show and would
be a fight of the night battle.
Maggie: I like the idea, Michelle you know i respect you and
you are my best friend, How about it.
Michelle: It would be a great opportunity but what about our
Asian tourney. What happens if we meet there.
Dennis: If you two are in agreement and promise me that this
won't get out of hand, I will get this match signed if you two
do meet in the Asian tourney well we just see what the match
makers say. you two may just fight one another twice. Are we
in agreement.
All four agree and Jennifer has something else to say.
Jennifer: Well i have just a couple of things. Are we okay
here to discuss some other match possibilities.
Dennis acknowledges and lets Jennifer continue.
Jennifer: Well I have heard that Gail Kim wants a rematch with
her rival Summer Sanders. Gail did not like the outcome of that
fight and she wants to right that situation. Also Sandra Gal
came to me and told me that she wants to challenge Michelle Wie
to a match.
Dennis: Good. Good I wil get this info in and make the
requests. Anhything else we need to talk about here.
Michelle, Maggie and Jennifer all shake their heads and the
meeting ends.
