I really enjoyed this, and I have no doubt the continuing saga
will be just as good. First, Shay begins her young career by
inadvertently crossing swords with Hayden. Now, she has
deliberately attacked Alexandra Paul?
That girl has too much free time on her hands. :)

Haha. If she spent half that time training she might win the odd
match. >:(
:D Thanks Richelle!

Hayden smiled, "Great!" She truly was stunning, but so was Naya.
She put her hand on Naya's, "I'll see you later." She looked at
Shay, "I'm looking forward to your…surprise!" Hayden then left
the café, fully aware that every eye in the café was locked on
her tiny body.

Naya turned her eyes back on Shay. "Well…at least she didn't
kill you," she said as if that really had been an option. "You
think I'm exaggerating? Oh boy, if you only knew what she's done
you wouldn't be rolling your eyes. Alexandra, Hanna-Maria,
Tsianina …and even Raccoon have been on the receiving end of her
bad moods more than once."
Naya leaned back in her chair, took a sip from her cup, "So what
are you going to do?" she asked in an almost seductive voice.

To say Shay was relieved once Hayden had left on her own would
be an understatement.
She found herself automatically rolling her eyes with everything
Naya had to say about the pocket rocket. Shay frowned. “She’s
very intense.”
Shay’s frown only grew starker when she contemplated what on
earth she was meant to do come the Raccoon press conference
after Shockwave. “Do? About the press conference? Or about
Hayden? I don’t even know. It hurts to think about it.”
She held both hands to the sides of her head, half-heartedly
massaging out a headache. “I guess I’ll have to think of a
prank.” Her eyes met Naya’s and she looked at her almost
solemnly, pleading for any kind of comfort she could give. “Do
you think it’s a bad idea?”

Naya changed her position and moved closer to the table. Shay
could feel something brush against her leg – had it been
intentional?
"Good or bad… You shouldn't ask me such things. I don't always
follow the rules," she said with a smile. "A bad idea might
actually be a good idea. I'd guess it all depends on the
outcome. Did I gain something or did it cost me something? Did
this action improve my life somehow? …make it more exciting?"
She bit her lower lip, "Did your decision to eavesdrop on us
make your life more exciting?"

Shay was a little embarrassed by that comment, and automatically
slid into defensive mode. “I… I wasn’t. I mean, I didn’t mean to
eavesdrop. I was just… close by. Hayden isn’t exactly discreet.
I…”
She was blushing; she could feel it. She knew Naya had a point.
If she hadn’t eavesdropped on them she could still be going
about her normal life. But, now what had she gotten herself
into?
“I just thought I recognised your voice. And I… well I didn’t
want to ignore you, once I knew you were here.”
Shay was a little uneasy, and she was sure Naya’s brush against
her leg hadn’t helped her blushing subside. “I guess you're
saying I should do it?”

"I know you will do it," Naya replied, "I just know you will."
She leaned back again, crossing her arms on her chest. It was
almost like she was playing with Shay; first she leaned closer,
touched her leg, and then suddenly moved away, putting a 'wall'
between them. She squinted her eyes, "You will do it, because…
you're afraid you will lose something important if you don't…"
Slowly Naya's lips turned into a wide smile

I've been quiet for a little while, because I didn't want to
stick my nose in the middle of the conversation every time one
of you posted. But, I just wanted to compliment both of you on
the way this is going. I'm getting a good picture of who these
characters are because you both do an excellent job of letting
us readers inside their heads. :)

Oh, that was unintentional! Sorry!
