Pre-Fight:
The ring has been cleared and the fans have settled in for the
Main Event show featuring the newer members of the UCC, the
Rookies. The first two bouts have been fought and we are ready
for the third spot to be filled in the semifinals. We join Joe
Rogan as he welcomes his broadcast partner.
Joe Rogan: Ladies and Gentlemen, Thanks for rejoining us here as
we continue this Rookies Invitational tourney. With that I
welcome in to the chair by my side, Melody Thomas Scott who
should know one of our competitors fairly well. Welcome Melody.
Melody Thomas Scott: Thanks Joe it’s a privilege to join you.
Joe: Its no problem. I see that Bruce Buffer is in the ring and
ready for introductions.
Bruce Buffer: Ladies and Gentlemen are you ready for the 3rd
bout in the Rookies tournament. If not get ready because this
should be a good one. First off from the Hot and the Dangerous
stable standing 5 feet and 6 inches and weighing in at 110
pounds help me welcome in Reylynn Caster.
Reylynn strides confidently down to the ring followed by her
corner mates, Sasha Calle and Emme Rylan. Her teammates cheer
her on as she steps into the ring and circles the ring before
moving to her corner
Bruce: And her opponent from the Wannabee stable standing 5 feet
7 inches and weighing in at 115 pounds give a big welcome to
Jayden Bartels.
Jayden makes her way with all the confidence in the world
followed by her corner, Brec Bassinger and Anna Cathcart. The
Wannabee team cheers as Jayden calmly walks over to her
opponents side flashing a quick glimpse of what was to come as
she teased and taunted Reylynn.
Bruce: Our referee for this bout will be Angelina Jolie.
Angelina got the two boxers together and gave them the rules and
what she expected and told them to shake hands and get ready to
box. Jayden gave Reylynn a not so gentle shove and expected her
to retaliate but Reylynn was not that kind of fighter and gave
Jayden a smile. Jayden is furious wanting to make this a nasty
encounter but Reylynn is not intimidated.
Round 1:
The bell sounds and Angelina motions for the two to begin the
bout. Reylynn kept smiling but that smile was gone as the two
enrage and the bout was underway. Jayden took instant control as
she wiped the smile off of Reylynn with some ferocious jabs that
had Reylynn staggering backwards into the ropes. Reylynn
clinched Jayden and Angelina watched carefully letting them
fight out of it. Jayden got in some good rabbit punches but
Reylynn held on and Angelina forced the break. Unfortunately
Jayden threw a looping left hook that connected to Reylynn’s
forehead knocking her down. Before beginning the 8 count on
Reylynn, Angelina turned to Jayden issuing a warning about late
punches when she was calling for the break.
Jayden threw up her hands as if she did not know what Angelina
was talking about and Angelina turned to issue the 8 count which
saw Reylynn already on her feet though looking a bit unsteady.
The Wildcats team was calling foul but Angelina was ignoring
them as she checked Reylynn’s eyes and motioned for the bout to
continue. Reylynn tried to dance around the ring to avoid Jayden
but Jayden kept moving forward and closing the gap between
herself and Reylynn but only able to connect with a couple of
glancing blows. Reylynn did a superb job of avoiding Jayden and
the round ended with the ring of the bell. Jayden wins the round
10-9
Melody: That was a brutal round for Reylynn I don’t know if she
has the heart to stand up to Jayden even with Jayden’s
questionable tactics.
Joe: Be careful Melody I wouldn’t want Jayden to come through
those ropes after you.
Melody: Don’t worry about me Joe, Jayden would not dare come
after me since I am not a part of this league.
Despite all of that Jayden hears what Melody is saying and gets
to her feet warning Melody to keep her thoughts to herself.
Round 2:
Jayden is irate and looks ready to go after Melody who is giving
Reylynn a chance to get herself together as the bell rings to
begin the second round. Reylynn sees the distraction and goes
after Jayden with a torrent of body punches. Jayden fights back
and lands some effective punches to Reylynn’s body. Melody
continues to taunt Jayden and the Hot and the Dangerous catch on
and begin chanting for Reylynn to finish Jayden.
The Wannabees stable cheer Jayden on and Jayden begins to
respond in kind with more brutal body punches. Reylynn falls
into the ropes and catches Jayden with a solid punch to the
chest. Jayden staggers back a step and Reylynn suddenly feeling
it charges into Jayden and the two begin throwing wild punches.
The crowd cheers both girls on seeing Reylynn trying to get
control of the bout. Jayden though hears the chants and cheers
from her team and she keeps Reylynn in the ropes doing as much
damage as she can. Reylynn manages to stay on her feet but as
the bell sounds to end the round, she has to be helped back to
her corner. A closer round but Jayden still wins the round 10-9
and leads the scorecard 20-18
Melody: Reylynn looked better that round but Jayden really let
her have it.
Joe: I think that you rattled or at least really upset Jayden.
She is still eyeing you.
Melody: Not just me Joe, The Hot and the Dangerous team is
really getting on Jayden’s case. I just hope that Reylynn has a
bit more energy this final round.
Round 3:
The bell sounds for the final round and Reylynn is on her feet
looking ready to go. So is Jayden and upon hearing the bell
Reylynn lunges into Jayden unexpectedly and lets loose with a
barrage of jabs and hooks that have Jayden staggering backwards.
Jayden though lands a couple of straight punches which slow
Reylynn down. Jayden looks over to Melody and the Hot and the
Dangerous team and flips them the bird. Tempers are starting to
flare up a bit and Reylynn jumps at the advantage and drills
Jayden with a couple of huge punches to the ribs and Jayden
suddenly slumps to her knees. Sasha and Emme cheer loudly while
Brec and Anna scream for Jayden to get up. Angelina finishes her
8 count and motions for the bout to continue. Jayden looks
unhurt and she is furious as she closes the gap with Reylynn and
the two exchange a flurry of punches. Both boxers are fueled by
cheers from their corners and both are connecting.
Reylynn knows what she has to do to win this bout as does Jayden
but Reylynn moves quicker than Jayden and begins to take control
as Jayden grows more frustrated with each passing second. The
end comes quickly at the 2 minute mark of the round as Jayden's
frustration causes her to throw a vicious right/left hook
combination which Reylynn dances away from and lands an
absolutely brutal combination to Jayden’s body and Jayden
crumples to the mats and is not able to regain her footing
before Angelina finishes her count.
Jayden is helped back to her corner while Brec and Anna continue
to argue with Angelina about what they thought was interference
from Melody and the Dangerous team. Security steps into the ring
and corral Brec and Anna from starting anything with Emme and
Sasha.
Bruce: Ladies and Gentlemen we have our third semifinalist in
the Rookies Tournament. Your winner by Knockout at 2 minutes and
25 seconds of the 3rd round, Reylynn Caster.
Reylynn is raised off her feet by her team who jump into the
ring and parade her around the ring victoriously.
Post Fight:
Joe: Reylynn a minute here. That was an impressive victory.
Where did that energy come from
Reylynn: I was fighting for my life and I surprised myself.
Joe: Well it was very nice comeback, You are now on to the next
round. What do you see coming in the Semifinals.
Reylynn: Well I think that Madelyn Cline has the advantage with
her size. So my prediction is that Madelyn will win over that
spunky Skai Jackson by knockout in the first round.
Joe: The Lost Wildcats seem to have placed a lot on Skai
winning. If she does upset Madelyn, how do you think you will do
against her?
Reylynn: I just don't see that happening. Skai is small, a real
petite fighter and once she gets a taste of that Middleweight
power I think she'll be in trouble.
Joe: Okay how do you think you will fare against Madelyn if she
wins.
Reylynn: No problem Joe. I am going to watch this bout and will
scout both girls out just in case. No one knows what will happen
but I still think that Madelyn will win and I will know what she
can do and how I will beat her.
Joe: Thanks Reylynn and again congratulations on the win. Best
of luck in round 2.
