Rookie Challenge #1 Livvy Dunne vs Mackenzie Davis

[font=times new roman]There is a lot of tension in the air as
the two had some sharp words at the weigh ins. Olivia made a
rookie mistake by not knowing who her opponent was and wasn't
able to pick her out of the 8 rookies on stage. A simple sorry
only made it worse but Mackenzie rose about the slight until
Livvy tried to take some selfies at the staredown. A quick slap
of the wrist sent Livvy's phone flying leaving the blonde Barbie
more worried about her phone than her opponent.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Olivia comes out dressed in a tight
spandex sports bra and yoga shorts cut down to the knee. She is
accompanied by Madison Beer and Selena Gomez. She takes a series
of selfies more concerned about her social media presence than
her fight with Mackenzie. [/font]
[font=times new roman]Mackenzie is all business as she heads to
the ring accompanied by stable manager Jennifer Connelley and
former Badass Barbie Taylor Swift. As they enter the ring some
friendly greetings are exchanged between life-long friends
Taylor and Selena. After a friendly get together they are
finally corralled back to their corners as the official
instructions are given by referee Lauren Cohn[/font]
[font=times new roman]Round 1: [/font]
[font=times new roman]Mackenzie steps in with purpose working
behind the right jab. Olivia shows her athleticism by keeping
out of range feinting left then ducking to the right. Mackenzie
steps in trying to cut the ring in two but the fleet footed
gymnast keeps herself safe. Lauren Cohan tells them she needs
more action and the two step into the pocket and exchange some
stout hooks to the body. [/font]
[font=times new roman]Mackenzie backs away after taking a hook
to the ribs and a glancing uppercut to the chin. She resets then
stalks Livvy down her working the right jab. As they continue,
Mackenzie's 5” height advantage is allowing her jab to keep
Olivia out of her comfort zone as Olivia is more concerned about
not getting hit than any sort of offense. [/font]
[font=times new roman]Mid round and Olivia's cheeks are puffy
and blood is trickling from her upper lip. Mackenzie is
persistent pushing forward landing the right jab them following
it up with hooks to the ribs. Livvy is now in full retreat as
Selena and Madison are urging her to fight back. Finally Olivia
slips under a jab then works some hard punches to the body
forcing Mackenzie to back away.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Olivia has woken up and now she is the one
pushing the pace. She eats a few jabs to the mush then lowers
her shoulder and bullies the taller blonde into a corner. She
places her right leg in between Mackenzie's then starts
unloading hooks and crosses forcing the Hellfire rookie to tie
her up. Lauren is right on it and brings them back to the
middle. [/font]
[font=times new roman]The final minute see's Livvy stepping
forward while Mackenzie fights off her back foot landing enough
jabs to take the round on points. Mackenzie takes the lead 10-9
as both head back to their corners. Mackenzie looks winded after
a grueling 5 minute round. Jennifer is calming her down making
her take in slow deep breaths. Livvy is getting cleaned up by
Madison as Selena is giving her an earful. [/font]
[font=times new roman]Round 2: [/font]
[font=times new roman]Olivia has taken her lecture to heart and
is in Mackenzie's face ducking jabs and countering to the body.
Mackenzie is feeling the pressure and circles out but when she
turns and sets Olivia is right there landing bone crunching
punches to the ribs and digging uppercuts to the chest.
Mackenzie gasps and is shoved against the ropes. Olivia leans in
and chugs left and rights into the body. Mackenzie fights back
with an uppercut to the chin and a scrubbing stray elbow across
the chest but Livvy's arms are churning until Mackenzie ties her
up in a tight bearhug forcing Lauren Cohan to step in and pull
them apart.[/font]
[font=times new roman]More deep breaths from the Hellfire blonde
who sets in the middle as Jennifer calls for more jabs.
Mackenzie sets and flashes out her jab but Olivia is willing to
eat a few in order to get inside and it's back to the body.
Olivia lands a thudding hook above the waistband doubling
Mackenzie up and as she leans forward Olivia almost lifts her
off her feet with an uppercut thrown from the hip. When she came
back down her left knee gave out and she feel into Livvy who
instinctively caught her and held her up as Lauren quickly
jumped in as Livvy gently set her on the canvas. [/font]
[font=times new roman]Olivia steps back as Lauren is off to the
side swinging her right arm as she picks up the count at 3. At 5
Mackenzie starts to stir and at 8 she is on her feet. Lauren
grabs both gloves and feeling decent resistance brings Olivia
out of the corner.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Mid round and Mackenzie look rattled and
Olivia is all over her bullying her into her own corner and
scrubbing her shoulder across her chest while pounding lefts
into her ribs. Mackenzie is fading finally grabbing her around
the waist then hanging on forcing Lauren to step in. The meet
back in the middle and Mackenzie is in retreat. Olivia throws
caution to the wind and lets her fits fly. Mackenzie is quickly
overwhelmed and eats one to many uppercuts and gets blown back
into the ropes. Olivia pushes Mackenzie's right shoulder back
opening up her left then drives home right hooks to the ribs
then a crippling shot to the liver freezes the blonde actress as
her body shuts down. She manages to reach out and locks Livvy in
a side head lock and holds tight dragging both of them to the
mat.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Lauren quickly steps in and untangles the
fighters then heads to the judges and takes a point away from
the Hellfire fighter. Luckily for Mackenzie, the brief rest
allows her to rub the pain from her side she manages to survive
the remaining minute. Olivia raises her hands and poses for her
fans as she leans back in her corner, her arms draped over the
top rope. Mackenzie plops her butt on her stool her head hanging
low. Jennifer is in her ear while Taylor cleans her up.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Round 3:[/font]
[font=times new roman]Mackenzie looks as ready as can be
expected after taking a pasting in the 2[sup]nd[/sup] round and
she looks across the ring as the athletic blonde bounces on her
toes. The meet in the center and Olivia immediately goes body
landing hooks to the belly and some glancing blows to the rack.
Mackenzie switches it up and takes up a traditional stance and
that seems to confuse Olivia. Now it the taller blondes left jab
that popping into Livvy's face. A cross to the chin and a
uppercut forces Olivia back. She steps to the side but that
pesky left jab is snapping the gymnasts head back. A left to the
cheek and a right cross leaves Olivia teetering back and forth.
A straight left to the forehead drops her guard and a crushing
right cross lands cleanly on the chin and the strings are cut
and Olivia drops face first on the canvas. Lauren ushers
Mackenzie to a neutral corner a picks up the count. Olivia is
wide eyed and gets to a knee then steps forward but her momentum
takes her forward and her muscular legs can't keep up and she
hits the bottom rope then rolls out of the ring.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Mackenzie gingerly raises her hands while
Madison Beer and Selena Gomez rush over to their fallen teammate
and pick her off the concrete. Mackenzie Davis wins by KO Punch
at 47 seconds of the 3[sup]rd[/sup] round. [/font]
[font=times new roman]Post Fight: [/font]
[font=times new roman]Mackenzie seems a bit confused. She knows
she won but it really hasn't sunken it yet. She is walking
around the ring going nowhere in particular. Joe Rogan splits
the ropes and walks up to Mackenzie who walks away and heads to
her corner and sits on her stool. Joe leans over and starts the
interview.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Joe: Mackenzie, are you alright?[/font]
[font=times new roman]Jennifer Connelley steps in and places a
towel over Mackenzie's shoulders and grabs Joe by the hand and
pulls him away.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Joe: Jennifer, is she going to be
OK?[/font]
[font=times new roman]Jennifer: She's fine, Joe. Just has her
signals crossed.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Joe: That was a really good fight.
Mackenzie used her reach to win the first but Olivia took the
second by fighting in close. What did you say to Mackenzie
during the break?[/font]
[font=times new roman]Jennifer: Obviously she wasn't able to
keep Livvy off of her and she was hurt. Maybe a cracked rib,
we'll find out shortly. We switched up and she ditched the
southpaw and it confused Livvy.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Joe: She is a rookie and this was her very
first fight. I can imagine it messed her up.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Jennifer: They are both rookies, Joe. The
is the rookie shootout, right.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Joe: Right as always, Jennifer.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Jennifer: I just like how Mackenzie picked
herself up. Like I said she was hurt and it really showed us
what she is made of tonight. That is what I'm looking for with
all of the new fighters. The fighting spirit.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Mackenzie is off her stool but her eyes
are vacant. She walks over to Jennifer with a confused look on
her face.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Mackenzie: What for dinner, Mom.[/font]
[font=times new roman]Jennifer: I think that's a wrap, Joe.
We'll talk to you later.[/font]
