Exploring New Terrain

Bridgette sat in the shade from a birch tree with parchment in
her hands. She wasn't quite sure if she was ready to mingle with
other students yet. Her original plan was to go for a walk
around the school, but one way or another, she wandered into the
forest. Luckily she had her satchel with her. If I make a map of
where I've been, maybe I can figure these paths out... Bridgette
was sure she'd be spending a lot of her time here.

haired woman with galaxies in her eyes. Her skin was opalescent,
and she wore a simple charcoal skirt and dove grey shell. Her
feet were bare, her hair a tussled cloud. [B]"I'm Astrid. Are
you teacher or student?"[/b]

Startled, Bridgette jumped and looked around. She had been so
taken with the beauty of the forest she did not hear anyone
approach. Bridgette looked shyly at the woman. She was
beautiful. "I... I'm a student Miss." Her voice was thick with a
Scottish accent. "Do you know all the pathways?"

The raven haired woman nodded. "I do. I've wandered this forest
many times, when my feet need to walk a path, though my mind
does not. Sometimes, wanderlust is a burden, and Sight weighs
heavy to heart. What brings you here, Bridgette. From Brigid,
one would guess, from the country that colors your words? What
stars have you followed?" Asked the teacher softly, hunkering
down to study a bloom and the girl, both.

Making sure to make a note of the paths the woman had just told
her about, she put the parchment back into her bag. "Aye" she
said with a nod. "The stars?" Bridgette looked up at the sky in
wonder. "Well, I did spend many a night outdoors with my
friends... Though I'm not sure animals have any thoughts about
stars... I'm not sure how you mean?"
