To the Person Below Me

The person below you has so graciously granted you the privilege
of asking them one single question. Even though you have no idea
who they are yet! So ask the person below you a question and
answer the question of the person above you. You may also answer
your own question if you would like. :)
This game can be a wonderful way to get to know people without
asking questions that are too personal. Bear in mind that
personal questions are prohibited. So let the questioning begin!

TPBM: Who is your favorite historical figure?
Anyone who has been around me any longer than a few days would
know that my answer to that question is Henry David Thoreau. I
cannot think of a single other person in history whose
intentions were so unquestionably pure or honest. No other
Transcendentalist was so true to the philosophy as he had been,
and his essay A Plea for Captain John Brown also reflects that
he was an unyielding abolitionist. Not to mention that his
writings would go on to inspire the likes of Mahatma Gandhi and
Martin Luther King, Jr., among many others. :)

Hee! I fear (and delight!) that
I've been infected with a similar love for all things
Transcendental, and as such my answer aligns with your own,
Faerdin. In my eyes and to my heart, to drink of Thoreau and
other Transcendentalists' words is to find root in the true, the
genuine, the natural, and the wholesome (this should sound quite
familiar "TPAM" <3). Though Thoreau's phrasing is a bit
difficult to understand at times, the following moments of
clarity and enlightenment are well-worth — and all the more
meaningful and sweeter for — the struggle.
TPBM: If you could go anywhere in the world (one place or a
handful like on an extended trip, your pick!), where would you
choose and why? Don't just throw out "it's pretty", or "for
[insert sight-seeing attraction here]", please! Really draw us
in and illustrate for us why it is that this place holds sway
over anywhere else you might have picked. ^ _^

I would want to go back to where I used to live in Pennsylvania,
for a day. The area is very beautiful, but I also want to know
if it's the same as I remembered it, since it was awhile ago.
Some many memories that could be revisited, if any of my old
friends still lived there.
TPBM:
If you could have dinner with anybody currently alive, who would
it be? I would probably pick one of my favorite authors, like
J.K. Rowling.

Probably John or Hank Green. They both host the Crash Course
Youtube channel (John does History and Literature, Hank does
Chemistry and Biology) as well as numerous other projects
(SciShow, vlogbrothers, mental_floss), with the former actually
being an up and coming author. His book, The Fault in Our Stars,
is actually being made into a movie.
They are quickly becoming some of my favorite people on Youtube
because... Well, you should just watch some of their videos.
They have wonderful senses of humor and I think it would be a
blast just to hang out and talk with them. xD
TPBM: What smell has the fondest memories for you?
Take a guess what mine is.
If you guessed anything other
than "the scent of freshly baked muffins," Y U NO GET OUT FROM
UNDER ROCK?
The fondest memory? Well, I've always had an issue with
smelling, so I don't have that many memories to begin with, let
alone fond. However, there was one. While spending the summer at
my moms house, there was this one day where the cabinet was void
of all food. We were SUPER hungry that day. Near the end of the
night, my grandmother walked in with this massive bag of chicken
tenders from the market. Dear lord, the smell. ._. We went
though those strips in a few minutes!! Luckily, Granny Ree also
restocked the cabinets.
TPBM: If you were given one wish in the world, what would it be?
(Note, it would go exactly your way and it can be in as much
detail as you'd wish. No tricky Genies messing you up.)
I know my answer to this. If you want to PM me and take a guess,
go ahead. I might just tell you.
