Can anyone verify some paperwork for me from a Chinese
manufacturer?

Hi everyone.
I have received some documentation from my Chinese supplier in
order to verify him further. However, i don't know whether it is
legitimate or not. It all looks perfectly fine to me, but i need
a helping hand. I won't post them on this thread as i don't want
to give my supplier away! However, if someone could message me
via PM and have a look at them for me i'd be very grateful.

I don't have to see any of it and can tell you the CE
Certificate is fake. At least if these are the tabs you have
been talking about. They do not spend the money to get actual
tests done, as the products are out of date by the time the
certificate is issued. We do supply genuine certificates on the
chargers we sell by the thousands and they have been
independently verified. Our charger factory is about the only
electronics related supplier with legitimate docs.

So Pete, are your tablets CE certified then?
And i want to verify the trustworthiness of the seller. I'm
planning on sending over an agent soon anyway, but thought i
could save money/time if the certificates are deemed forged by
anyone.

If Pete says that the CE Certificate you have is probably fake
and the reasons why as stated above, his probably don't comply
either - not these particular ones anyway. Maybe the more
expensive or 'branded' ones are ?
As Pete says, the certificates would be out of date anyway as
technology progresses faster than the paperwork process does.
A manufacturer may well have a certificate but it could also be
for a model version from a year ago, and although the tablet is
still called a T62i or whatever, it don't mean the inside
complies to the CE certificate anyway. All the above is my
presumptions, Pete will need to confirm.

Surely Pete's would be CE certified?
I thought it was the law that all electrical products sold in
the UK had to be CE certified.

We pay more then most are willing to and buy from recognized,
legitimate factories which do meet the requirements. I have made
it a point over the years to buy only from factories that supply
truly licensed software if required, genuine IMEI numbers for
phones, not just some made up on a sticker and proper
certification. At one point when selling car GPS units I got an
email from a guy with IGO saying the maps were unlicensed
copies, but he'd not pursue it if I stopped selling them. I took
them down within minutes and that was that.
I have supplied certificates to sellers who supply schools,
hospitals and corporate buyers who have asked for and verified
the legitimacy of the documents. We go out of our way, and pay a
premium to buy from only the best established factories in order
to sell with confidence.
Quite honestly, I have no idea how legitimate they all are. But
I do know some people have paid to have them verified and no one
has come back and said they were fake. And they keep right on
buying........... :)
