It looks like we might have ourselves a direct Nitecore EA4
       clone for around $35

You read that thread title right. This unbranded light from
       Fasttech
  HTML http://www.fasttech.com/products/1400606-2020
       appears to be a
direct clone of the EA4 from looks, physical dimensions, and the
UI all the way down to the number of modes and the output in
       each of those modes!

       - Hard anodized aluminum alloy casing

       - Tube diameter: 38.6mm

       - Beam range: 283m

       - Runtime and luminous flux: 1.5 hours / 860LM (turbo), 22 hours
       / 65LM (lower), 11 hours / 135LM (low), 4.5 hours / 300LM (mid),
       2 hours / 550LM (high)

       - How to change the modes:
[li]Long press the side button to turn on/off the flashlight

       - When the flashlight is on, press the button for 1 second to
       enter Turbo Mode

       - Press the button for 1 second again to enter daily modes, then
single click to switch the brightness in Lower > Lo > Mid > Hi
       Mode (with mode memory function)

       - Double click the button to access flashing modes, then press
and hold the button to switch in Strobe > SOS > Beacon modes,
release your finger at the mode you want (with mode memory
       function)

       [/li]

The only problem is that Fasttech's product description say it
takes AAA cells instead of AA cells. I believe this is in
error, especially if you look at the tail pic where the battery
cutouts are shown. HAS to be AA cells, not AAA. I have opened
a ticket with them to confirm the cell size.

Interesting. It looks like an exact clone right down to the
boot. $34.12 with the BLF coupon. Looking at your picture I
wonder if the anodizing is more like black ink? Who's going
first guys? If it's any good this would be a good group buy for
       $20.00.

Well, technically, it is black at least partly. ;D
I think the scrapes in the rear are from the springs hitting
when putting the tail cap on and off. I'm just amazed that even
the modes, output levels and UI are identical to the EA4.
Considering this appears to be an unbranded EA4 I think I'll get
one before they run out of them or are forced to stop selling
       them.
This will set my savings for a TR-S700 back a week or so and
       that really bugs me.

LOL! Not that silly. I do that stuff all the time.
I almost pulled the trigger on this. When I did I saw I had two
items in my cart, this one, and the Fandyfire K2 I put in my
cart a week ago. The K2 is the same format but takes a 26650
and is $10 cheaper. Made me stop and think which was the better
deal. As much as I'd love to have an apparently unbranded EA4
for such a steal of a price I can't help but think I'd rarely
use it. I decided to hold off on this until after I get my
       TR-S700. One thing I don't have is a 4000+ lumen lantern with
500m of throw and a magnetic infinitely variable switch. ;D

let me ponder a little more but, though I shouldn't, I actually
can pull the trigger on this right now.
My main problem is, my x3 should be here any day, and that kind
of solves my primary light deficiency, this I would be buying
purely to stick one to nitecore tbh.
I'll see how I feel tomorrow, if no one else pulls the trigger
then I will, just it stuffs up me buying into pulsars group buy,
something that interests me much more.

Nice find, if I didn't already have two ea4's I'd buy this.
I'm trying to find an excuse to buy an mtg2 light, not sure
       which one to get yet

Buy them both. We all know you want to. I was speaking to Mrs
gords earlier and she told me it was no problem if you got them
both but it would cost you a rose.
