I had to Google that one Chloe. Would you believe that there a
Utube videos on hair brushes? If I need to brush or comb my hair
it means that it is to long. The D14 also comes with different
handles. Thanks Chloe. You learn something new everyday. :D

Yesterday I got my replacement TN30 from Thrunite. It's far
brighter than it appears to be for some reason I can't figure
       out. ???
Shining it on the 10' ceiling on highest mode and comparing it
with my SP03 the SP03 trounces it solidly in both hot spot
intensity and in spill brightness. Even my Warrior comes close
to surpassing the TN30 visually. I tossed it into the IS and it
is pumping out just shy of 3200 OTF lumens where the Warrior is
doing 1000 less @ just 2200 OTF lumens. The SP03 does shy of
2300 OTF and visually cleans the TN30's clock. ???
All I can figure is the new version TN30 (which this is) has an
OP reflector instead of smooth and that the diffusion from the
reflector causes the output to not look nearly as much as it
really is. The IS captures and registers all of the output but
shining the light about simply appears to be far less than it
really is. Unfortunately I don't have the previous version of
the TN30 (with SMO reflector) to compare it against but it's the
only reason I can think for this odd experience. Anyone else
       have another idea or two?
Changing topic completely and getting back to the TR-S700 that I
got a week ago, I made some resistance changes on the driver to
get maximum output from it. I checked on the IS again but it
was about the same as it was before the mods. The thing about
my previous testing is that the S700's bezel didn't fit into the
opening of the IS and was just sitting on the lip of it. I've
had this happen before with another light before I increased the
size of the IS opening to accommodate it and only saw about 50
lumens of improvement so I wasn't expecting much improvement on
the S700 either. I placed the S700 on the IS, traced the bezel
onto it and trimmed the opening of the IS so the S700 just
squeezed into the opening. Switched the light into it's highest
output, waited half a minute, then measured just shy of 3600 OTF
lumens! I can honestly say that my resistance mods made little
difference as the light is already pretty maxed out from the
factory to squeeze all it can from the parallel battery config.
It is now my brightest light at 3600 OTF lumens! w00t!!!

That Trustfire must be a beast. Are you going to include any
long range comparison shots with i in your review? I've had a
couple off lights that are disappointing white wall hunting
where one will trounce the other. Outside though its a different
       story.
gords. I cant see a lawn mower? Do you have your own private
       gardener?

I do indeed plan on some outdoor comparison pics for both
       lights. ;)

My Lumintop SD10 arrived last night. I finally got a 1d light
       :)
       The pros
It's got a good UI and solid output on a d cell, the pwm
       frequency appears quite high.
The cons smooth reflector gives the occasional ring in the
beam. Feels like it has more rubber than it needs for the
       switch. Battery carrier feels cheep.
All in all, worth what I paid at Wallbuys. I like it almost as
much as my TheChive t shirts that arrived ;)
