DIR By: JohnnyMac

[html]<p>Well, my prerelease sample of the new FLEXCandles
Asgard model arrived today. This is the light with the
Bluetooth equipped driver that can be programmed wireless on the
fly using your Android device or even from your Windows PC using
their custom FLEXCandles app. Sorry for some of the crappy
pics...I couldn't wait to post them.</p><p><a

You lucky bugger. Looking forward to the review. Believe it or
not the programming intimidates me a little so it will be
interesting how hard or easy this all works. Cheers.

The programming with the Android app is actually very easy. The
Windows app not so much.

Congratulations Johnny :o I'm also looking forward to the
review. There's something about an XM-L2 sitting inside a nice
wide reflector. I hope it performs as good as it looks.
Thanks for sharing the pics

it might be the pictures but it looks like it doesn't have the
machining defects the smallsun has. I can't wait for mine to
arrive now.

Thats all I need to know. I'd love to know what your comments
about a couple off small problems were. I am a sticky beak. ;)

I will reveal all in my review. I will say that they have
already addressed all but one issue. They are very responsive at
correcting things quickly. ;)

Will there be an iPhone software for this? I dig the idea on
this light. When Foursevens mentioned they patented a Bluetooth
light I was thinking it would be like this (in future additions)
but there's is a locator function.
The Asguard is tomorrow's technology, here in today

I haven't got a clue whether there will be an Iphone app but
common sense would tell me that there would have to be something
in the future, especially when this sounds like the first off
many.

Not possible due to Apple's silly restrictions. [No BT access
from appstore apps: "iOS devices can talk to Bluetooth 2.1
devices, but in order to access them in an app you develop, you
have to be a member of Apple's Made for iPhone program. Getting
into the Made For iPhone program is far from trivial, and unless
you're a company with real experience, you won't be able to."]
