Just wanted to say hi I am a new flashaholic since 1st of
2013 please be patient as I am just now learning basics bins
ratings etc so I may ask some rhetorical questions and at this
point I have no modding experience yet , I am at this point ony
prolonging the inevitable because I know once I cross that line
there will be no turning back! Thanks

Hi and welcome lightjunkie. I like candles as well. They would
probably be a lot cheaper in the long run as a hobby but somehow
if you told someone your hobby was candles they may look at you
a bit strangely. When you tell someone your hobby is flashlights
there eyes light up like a dedomed XM-L2 running at 5 amps. I
wish. Either way enjoy your stay here. Cheers.

That reminds me... I really must change the titles :D
Welcome lightjunkie, it's great to have you join us! If there's
anything you're a little unsure about, don't be afraid to ask.
A very good resource to start with that will help you immensely
is the flashlightwiki
HTML http://flashlightwiki.com/
you can read all about the different
types of emitters, drivers, cells etc.
If you're looking for a light for a specific job or a general
all round use light. Please ask for suggestions too as we'll be
able to help steer you in the right direction.
It's very easy to get a bit overwhelmed when trying to choose a
light, especially with all the technical aspects that are
involved with LED lights.
So I hope we can help get you started on the right track and
that you will soon be a flashaholic just like the rest of us..
and it doesn't have to cost the earth to own a good light either
despite what 'some' will have you believe :)
Cheers
Spas

Great to have you here, LightJunkie! The only silly question is
the one left unasked, so feel free to hit us up with whatever
you need to know and we'll do our best to assist you. If we
don't know the answer we'll try and point you in the right
direction. ;)
