       My work gear
By: AMK Date: April 16, 2013, 5:32 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Here is what I carry about my person when I am covering
       motorsport events
Some of the contents of my duty belt.

And this is some of what I carry in my work trousers

I plan on replacing my old school maglights soon, although they
have both been converted to LED.

Hi AMK. I can see that if I'm in an accident that you come to
the rescue. If I'm nearly done for you could finish me off
       nicely.
Seriously though you guys do a fantastic job and at times I
guess pretty thankless. Thanks for sharing.

That's some nice gear, Thanks for sharing. I like the mini
light, is that for looking in people ears ? Nice knife too,
       looks awesome.

Thanks guys, I have always been a tool and gadget freak and work
gives me an excuse to indulge.
The pen light is mainly for assessing pupil reactions but could
be used for basic ear exams if needed . Normally we would use a
specialist light called an otoscope for looking in ears

The knife was surprisingly cheep only about £15 but I like it as
it has a tungsten carbide glass breaker as well as a seatbelt
       cutter.

Hmmm, now I'm thinking I could mount a CCD camera behind an
Otoscope and use it to see small driver components lol :)

Can a Otoscope solder as well?

Have you thought about upgrading your scissors to the New

OH now that's a pair of scissors :-* Thanks for the heads up.
Not available until the end of May though.
I wonder just how tough they as one of the reasons we use cheep
scissors like to ones on my belt is that will the materials used
in good motorcycle leathers these days by the time we have cut
someone out of them even good quality scissors are fooked. We
buy these in bulk for a couple of quid each and throw them after
       one use.
I expect the leatherman would be sharpenable and with there
standard no quibble warranty if I break them then they will just
       go back.
       Watch this space. ;)
