Anithea, the Ring of the Fallen...

Prince Queseon stood in his very own office in the North Wing of
the Island Outpost. It had been quite a while since those people
from New Coruscant came and changed things greatly. Life on
Idahria improved for the Astelle and the Acotali. Aedes was
still down and out, but it didn't look like there was anything
he or his people could do about it. The star was long gone.
Now, he wondered why his father asked him to come here. The
night before, and it was always night, Emperor Gaeran had been
in Noelani after a trip, tending to those matters that Emperors
usually tended to. All of a sudden he sent a message saying that
he needed Queseon on '01a'. Because this was his father, Queseon
left home as soon as he could and arrived at the outpost hours
before Gaeran did. While waiting, the Prince walked around his
office, staring down at the waves through the darkness.
Out of nowhere, Queseon wondered what had happened to that man,
Askaari. He and his people had been a great help to the
Idahrians. He himself wanted to visit New Coruscant for once,
but when his father was there he needed to be here just in case.
But like always, though he didn't want to, he complied to what
his father wanted. Queseon just laughed and shrugged at his own
reliance. In truth, it wasn't that bad. His father was a good
leader, and his judgement always seemed correct.
Just as he was thinking of all this, Emperor Gaeran arrived. The
two armed Guards with him remained outside while he entered to
speak to his son. "Queseon!" he said happily, arms spread out
wide when he entered the office. Queseon felt just as happy, but
couldn't quite find words to express his emotion. He embraced
his father and released.
"It's been so long since I've last seen you, father." he said,
flashing an array of blue shades.
The Emperor nodded. "Yes, indeed it has." Then, he smiled and
gently placed both hands on his son's shoulders. "Oh, how you've
grown, Queseon." he said tearfully, proud of the work he'd done.
"Your mother would have loved to see you."
Queseon nodded, smiled wistfully at his father, then returned to
matters.
"So... What have you called me here for, father? How can I
help?" he asked, excited and at the same time nervous. What did
the Emperor want of him, especially here and now?
"Ahh, well..." Gaeran chuckled putting an arm around Queseon's
shoulders. "Have you heard of our most recent project?" he
asked, waiting on an answer.
The younger Astelle nodded. "Yes, of course. It's the Marulk, if
I remember correctly."
Gaeran laughed again and patted his son's shoulder. "That's
right. The Marulk is one of our newer long-range, expedition
vessels."
"Yes, I remember more clearly now. Did you want me to help with
its construction?" asked Queseon, surprised, expectant, and
eager. He had always wanted to see the Marulk. It was made to
look like a real-life Marulk, but it really wasn't. It was five
times larger than the animal itself.
Gaeran shook his head, but was smiling. "My son, the Marulk has
already completed. I am here to inform you of your first
off-planet mission." he explained, bringing his son to the
office doors. Queseon was frozen. His first off-planet mission?
Was he going to New Coruscant?
"Father!" Queseon wrapped his arms around the Emperor, chuffing
gleefully. "Where to, father? Where to?" he asked again and
again, quite like when he was much younger. The Emperor took a
moment to calm himself, as he was feeling equally excited for
his son, though the mission could be dangerous.
"You're going to Iodrillon, my son," he said more seriously,
"Then to Telidaki with someone from New Coruscant. We'd like to
see if there is anyone left." Gaeran was hoping for a positive
reaction from Queseon, since he hadn't been sure of how to
explain how the mission was going to go.
At first, Queseon felt disappointed. He wanted to see New
Coruscant, but Iodrillon was fine for now. It was good enough
that he was finally going out into the stars. Then there was
that someone from New Coruscant. Who could it be? Queseon nodded
firmly, then crossed his arms over his chest to look determined.
"I'll not let you down, father." he said with a nod before
following the Emperor out of the office.
"I'm sure you won't, Queseon," said Gaeran again, feeling proud.
"After all these years you have never let me down. Not once. Why
would expect such a thing now?" But then he sighed, paused and
again laid his hands on his child's shoulders. "Just know, my
son.. That this task is a dangerous one. I don't want to have to
send you, but I would like for you to experience this firsthand.
Though you may choose not to go if you like."
"No!" the Prince barked, suddenly worked up. "I'll go, father,
I'll go!" he cried.
"Very well. You along with your crew will be the first Idahrians
on Iodrillon and Telidaki. And as I have said, we would like to
know if there is anyone on those planets still with life."
Gaeran admitted, slightly disappointed that Queseon had not
chosen to stay instead.
Queseon nodded, ready to do what needed to be done. "And if we
can't find anyone?.." he asked, hoping he could be sent to New
Coruscant later.
"Qawraq is next. I hear there have been signs of life there.
I've asked for assistance from New Coruscant, mainly security.
You should be perfectly fine." Gaeran assured his son, wondering
who exactly the Empire would send... Now all they needed was to
take Queseon to the Marulk.

The Imperial Star Destroyer Relentless, a new Imperial III Class
Star Destroyer equipped with the latest technology, comes out of
hyperspace in orbit of the planet. The ISD opens a hailing
frequency to the surface outpost.
"Idharian outpost 01A," a woman's voice comes over the comm,
"this is Captain Leqarna of the Imperial Star Destroyer
Relentless. We are here at the request of Emperor Gaeran."

"Understood," an Astelle worker replied to Captain Leqarna,
giving one of his nearby coworkers a hurried gesture. "The
Emperor will be up shortly."
Levels beneath the communications tower, Emperor Gaeran stood
and watched silently as the shuttle carrying his son crawled
steadily away from the outpost station. It would take him to the
silo in which the Marulk was held. Queseon should be well
briefed before the personnel from New Coruscant arrived.
Gaeran sighed deeply, feeling his emotions and thoughts
conflict. He was sending his son to a dead planet because he
wanted for him to learn and experience more, yet he didn't want
to, knowing the dangers he could face.
The Emperor of Idahria had never been so troubled in his life.
For once, his emotions got the best of him, and he began to
grumble.
Throughout all the activity in the outpost station, the
electronics officer from the communications tower found the
Emperor standing on the edge of the loading platform. He waited
a moment before approaching.
"Sir," he bowed low, "a ship from New Coruscant has arrived.
It's crew reports that you have asked for their presence."
Gaeran turned around, motioned for the officer to rise. He did,
though slowly as a sign of respect. "That is true. Have them
send someone I can speak to concerning the security and research
team." he told the officer, walking past him towards the
elevator leading directly to the communications tower.
[hr]
"Captain Leqarna of the Star Destroyer Relentless, Emperor
Gaeran has asked that you send someone he can speak to regarding
his request." the tech-head said, leaning forward against his
console having received the order from the officer who was now
on his way up along with Gaeran.

"Affirmative Outpost 01A, shuttle disembarking." Captain Leqarna
replied, closing the channel.
The Imperial shuttle touched down at the coordinates the
Idahrians had given it. The ramp to the shuttle lowered and out
came a female Imperial followed by ten Stormtroopers with blue
markings on their armor.
The female Imperial looked around to identify whomever it was
sent to greet her.

Directly behind the shuttle from the Imperial Ship, a layered
door opened. There was a drone who looked similar to Queseon
when he was younger. Like all Idahrian drones, he had a spear of
coral in his right hand, and a shield in his left made out the
shell of some large mollusk. He beckoned the Imperials over with
his spear, then made off once they walked past the doors. They
rolled shut the moment everyone was in the outpost.
The drone rounded a corner and appeared later beside a tracked
vehicle. It was white in color, had slightly rounded edges, and
was most of all, quite stodgy. The drone opened the doors and
hopped inside, waving his spear. It didn't seem like he had too
much to say at all and communicated with gestures. Up front, two
Idahrian operators waited until everyone was on.
The moment the Imperials were loaded, the drone pulled the doors
inward and tapped the vehicle's side. Its engine hummed to life
and lurched forward pretty rough and hit a slope almost
immediately. From here, the communications tower was quite far,
so walking wasn't a good idea. The tram was occupied, so it
wasn't an option either. The drone leaned against the shuttle
doors, staring long and hard at the Imperials. He had never seen
humans before.
With all the strength he could bring up he asked the Storm
Trooper closest to himself, "Is it true that you all look the
same?"

The 501st trooper looked down at the drone, a deep and long
silence followed as the Stormtroopers black eyes stared
unflinchingly at the drone. Answering its question with complete
silence.
"Don't worry about the Stormtroopers," the female Imperial said
to the drone, "they don't talk much, they've been through a
lot." She finished with an obvious tone of both patriotism and
sympathy for the hard lives these ten men had lived in the name
of the Empire. They had served in four wars and owed their
allegiance to three different empires. Yet here they were, still
following orders and doing their job.

The drone raised an eyebrow and tilted his head. He began to
clutch his spear tightly, wondering why the Storm Trooper hadn't
given an answer. His questions were answered by the femal
Imperial who was close enough to be heard. The drone nodded to
say he understood, then turned around just as their vehicle
entered the generator room. There was a bridge leading across a
circular pit, and at the bottom of this pit was a pool of magma.
There were some cylindrical objects from the bottom that
gathered energy for the outpost to use. If they overheated, they
would be promptly hoisted back up, cooled, then dropped again.
There were two younger drones crossing the bridge, and they
waved to the drone inside the vehicle, but stared after the
vehicle having no idea who those others were. After passing in
between the two Tärna Interceptor Hangars, the tracked vehicle
carrying the Imperials and the drone rolled along beneath the
communications tower. The drone was first off even before the
vehicle came to a full stop. He rushed to the comms tower
elevator and waved his shield and spear frantically to call the
Imperials over. Gaeran didn't like when things went running
late.

The Imperials picked up their pace, they didn't want to keep
Emperor Gaeran waiting either. They entered the elevator and it
rose to the comm tower where they were expected. The elevator
reached their floor and the Imperials followed the drones off of
the elevator. Seeing Emperor Gaeran, the Imperials gave a slight
bow in respect.
"Your Highness," the female Imperial spoke up, "I am Commander
Askaari with the Imperial Strategic Warfare Division, these
Stormtroopers belong to 501st Legion of the Imperial Special
Forces." Commander Askaari was 5'10'' with dark blonde hair and
bright blue eyes.

The drone gave the Emperor a quick bow, then returned to the
elevator immediately to head back to his post. Gaeran nodded to
him before he turned to the female Imperial. His eyes flashed
for a second upon hearing the familiar name.
"Askaari?.." he murmured, his crest flaring, "Are you in any way
related to the Emperor Askaari of New Coruscant?" he asked the
female, regarding the Storm Troopers with a simple nod.
OOC: Queseon is on his way to the Marulk. I should have a
drawing of the ship ready by tomorrow.

"Yes I am, Your Highness. I am the daughter of Emperor Ram
Askaari the fourth, I am Princess Telera Askaari and heir to New
Coruscant. But for now I would prefer to be addressed as
Commander." Telera responded kindly. "My father would prefer I
remain on New Coruscant where it's safe, but he cannot stop me
from fulfilling my obligation to the military. I understand that
we'll be working with Prince Queseon?"
