       New Star Wars Films

So, Star Wars fans, was wondering if you guys are looking
forward to the new films Disney announced? I actually sort of
was. I was hoping for some of the stuff from the few Star Wars
novels I'd read. Then I found out JJ Abrams was going to direct
Episode VII. I won't start the rant but I have serious issues
with the last two Star Trek movies. >:(

not really sure about a new star wars movie. still if the movie
is good i might forgive them about canceling the game. but thats
       for future to decide.

I'm obviously a huge Star Wars fan and I honestly believe that
Episode 7 is going to be awesome. We cannot blame J.J. Abrams
for what happened with the two new Star Trek movies, the
directing was solid but it was the writing and the story and the
fact that they decided to scrap EVERY Star Trek movie AND series
by creating this alternate timeline. The writers are the ones
responsible for the destruction of the Star Trek legacy and its
reformation into one of nothing but sex and explosions. Star
Wars Episode 7 is going to be solid and it had better be, or
there will be devastation in the Star Wars community. I
seriously, because of Jar Jar Binks, reject Episode I as cannon.
For historical references for that time I refer to 'Star Wars:
The Essential Atlas.' J.J. Abrams is an amazing director, but
even an amazing director is limited by the script he is given. A
director can change very little in terms of the story line and
the facts, unless you're George Lucas and you own the movie
franchise and you direct... which is how we got Jar Jar Binks.
You wanna know how I know the new Star Wars movie will be
awesome? Fan service, J.J. Abrams believes in fan service and
giving us what we want to see, in these two pictures he gave
hints to both the Millennium Falcon and the Galactic Empire
       returning in Episode 7

I'm really hoping it's set int the New Jedi Order / Imperial
Remnant period. That's my favorite time to RP in and the only
one I've read many books about. I read about the Yuuzhan Vong in
some of WotC Star Wars RPG books, but they never really
       interested me.

The Timothy Zahn books like the Thrawn and Hand of Thrawn
trilogy's are my favorite by far. If they did a movie with
Thrawn and C'Boath as the two villains that would be awesome,
and there were some pretty intense battles in those books too.

Episodes 3-6 are still my favorites.
Episode 1 I liked but didn't care for jarjar. I don't think he
       ruined the movies but meh.
Episode 2 was my favorite of the 2nd 3 movies.
Episode 3...I honestly don't remember much of it. I found it so
meh. Some good parts but overall yawns.
I have never read the novels, just never got into them.
Do love Star Wars tech over all and really dig the RPG's that
       have been put out.

I wasn't a fan of Episode II until the last part when the clone
army showed up and there was that big battle. I loved Episode
III because of the first space battle over Coruscant, Order 66
and then you can't miss when Anakin cut off Mace Windu's hand
and then turned to the Dark Side... becoming Vader. However the
original trilogy is the BEST, you can't beat the good ol'
nostalgia of a cold war sci-fi movie and besides.. the Empire
was freaking beast. I'm just hoping the Empire in the new movies
       isn't lame.

Right? How the hell did a highly trained and heavily armed
military force fall prey to a bunvh of three foot tall teddy
bears??!! That's how you know George Lucas was starting to get
more control over the movies, you know he didn't actually direct
       the first three films.

I have have seen all the movies except Episode Three: Revenge of
the Sith. I also haven't seen any of the new Star Trek movies
and the only Star Trek movie I have seen from start to finish is
First Contact. But back to subject at hand I'll make my
judgement when I see but looking forward to seeing it I hope
they add some extended universe in to the movie and still
       execute it properly.
