The League of Inter-Oceanic Trade is an international
nonmilitary organization designed for the following purposes:
To facilitate the free flow of civilian trade between member
nations;
To establish codified regulations and standards for tolls,
tariffs, and taxes on such trade;
To protect merchant vessels from harms posed to them by the seas
or by opportunistic criminal activities;
To coordinate embargoes and economic sanctions against those
deemed to be hostile to the interest of member nations;
To safeguard the economic interests of member nations against
hostile powers;
And to provide a stage on which peaceful diplomatic discourse
may occur in order to resolve international economic conflicts
without bloodshed.
Any nation may join the League, so long as they a) are not
involved in a hostile relationship or war with a member nation,
and b) uphold the above directives. The addition of new purposes
to the League will act on a democratic system: any member nation
may propose a vote on an action, regulation or treaty, at which
point a simple majority will decide whether the proposal is put
into place.
Member nations or outside parties may also choose to donate
funding to the League, which will be used for the purpose of
furthering our above ideals. There is no set donation
requirement, though we encourage member states to pledge a
certain portion of their income towards the League should they
feel so inclined.

We wish to join as a Observer. We stronlgy believe in diplomatic
solutions and protecting merchants.

A nation whose own citizens are not freely able to participate
in the free market, and who only fifty years ago participated in
a violent coup to overthrow the established and successful
economic system followed by the rest of the civilized world,
severely disrupting international trade in the process, has no
place in the League.
In addition to such, there is no observer status available.

The Federal Republic of Eruaenia has decided that this
organization, were we to join it, will greatly benefit our
rebuilding economy. As such, we apply for membership.
