Space Exploration
Things that go up
How it works
Missions all have a base cost and usually a tech requirement as
well as having done previous missions related to it.
You can increase the chance that a mission will succeed by
spending more money on it. You can multiply it by any whole
number to increase your chances. Let A be that multiplier.
Mission success chance is 1 - 0.5^(A)
If you pay just the base cost (A = 1), then your success chance
is 0.5, or 50%
if you pay twice the base cost (A = 2), success chance is 0.75,
or 75%
If you pay ten times the base cost (A = 10), success chance is
0.999, or 99.9%
A better way to put this might be that your failure chance
starts at 50%, and each time you add on the base cost you can
halve that failure chance.
Finally, your failure rate is halved if you've completed the
mission before.
You must have a moderator do the roll for mission success.
To be able to launch you need a Space Center. This allows you to
launch once per cycle. Additional launchpads allows for more
launches per cycle.
The missions availible are as follows: (Where RQ means requires
and the numbers are other missions)

Might I suggest some dwarf planet missions too, in the deep
space section?
Also, are there any plans for asteroid mining?

Not at the moment. If needed we can add it when the time
requires it.

Can we construct missions based on technology we're already
researching, like Mystic I think is doing?

What am I doing? No you need to finish researching before you
launch a mission requiring such a tech
