       Cathea enters the space race!

       Thousands gathered today to witness the launch of Charger 1
       and 2, the twin suborbital rockets that symbolize the official
       start of the Cathean space program.  At approximatley 10:37 AM,
       the first of the rockets, Charger 1, lifted off the launch pad
       at the Cathean Aerospace Agency, leaving a trail of fire and
       smoke over the Chaban River.  The launch was visible from
       Elddan, where emergency personnel were left in a small state of
       panic at reports of a "water alien invasion".  Following the
       official annoucement of the launch, many businesses closed as
       hundreds of thousands drove from Elddan to witness the second
       launch.
       At roughly 3:20 PM, Charger 2 launched, looked on upon by
       vast cheering crowds.  A small instrument failure was quickly
       fixed, and the rocket continued on it's path west over Aenia.

       The CAA reports that the crafts rose to an altitude of more
       than 200 kilometers, and followed their ballistic trajectory
       over Tianlong and Aenia, respectivley.  The CAA also reports
       that all scientific data was transmitted before the crafts were
       incinerated in the upper atmosphere.

       The CAA released on the flights of Charger 1 and 2.  Both
       probes were outfitted with a experimental heatshield, which
       utilised an ablative insulation to protect the probes during the
       heat of reentry.  Although they were both thought to have failed
       and the probes incinerated, they both worked and allowed the
       probes to survive until they returned back to Hostren, where
       they were discovered a few days after their landing by the
       honorable scientists of Tianlong and Sovereign-Aenia,
       respectfully.  The CAA has developed and released some of the
       photos of Hostren that were taken on their flight.
