       Meritocracy generals sign the papers confirming the Meritocracy
       surrender to IRAF forces.[/center]
       FERBONTI; Oct. 28 - Reports are coming in now confirming that
       the Eruaenian Meritocracy has formally surrendered to the
       Independent Republic Allied Forces, following their decisive
       campaign against the Monarchs and against the Eastern Pact fleet
       in northern waters. The newly-signed Treaty of Ferbonti dictates
       that all Meritocracy assets will be absorbed into IRAF, and the
       capital will move from Confrai City to Ferbonti. The Eruaenian
       Merit Party will be allowed to continue existing, much to the
       approval of the 25 million civilians in the newly annexed
       territory.
