Twisted Spirits (the rising legend)
Chapter 6. History or Embarassment?
The bells rang loudly as night class students sat around the
room
quietly. Kage entered the room slowly. "Good night, night class
students. We have a new student. You all will respect her and be
nice.
Show her around. Now then if you don't mind, I have to meet with
the
headmaster." Red Eye, the night class professer, said. Fuigo and
Ragae glared down at Kage. Chattering began to fill the room.
With
the little students there were it wasn't very loud. "Well, hello
there. Im
Shikuo!" A rather friend voice said. Shikuo walked up to Kage
and held
out his hand, "Welcome to the Spirit Cross Academy. No other
place
like it!" "Shikuo sit down, we don't need you to go and show
off." A
voice said from a student in the back of the room. Shikuo tured
around and yelled a bit, "Im sorry for introducing myself,
Unikoae!"
Shikuo sat down and propped his feet up onto the desk. "Im sorry
about that, Kage. He's quite a bit of a show off. He always gets
the
day class students chasing him. Tsk, those girls are pathetic."
Unikoae
said. "How did you know my name?" Kage said a bit quietly. "Shes
just
that type of demon, its no big deal." Fuigo said. Unikoae
leaned
against the wall as she stood at the top of the class. "Im a
raven
demon, Kage. We know a lot." Unikoae snapped. "Can someone
explain this to me? Im confused. If "we" are demons then why can
the
day class students turn into animals to?" Kage said, desprate to
find
an answer. Almost the students laughed at Kage's question. All,
but
one. That one was Axel. Axel the bull elk.
His form was huge. Able to take down anything in his path so
far, and
he held the power of earth. In doing so, he was able to become
rock
solid, as for his antler, as sharp as needles. "Quiet down,
theres no
reason to laugh! She has the right to know, and you guys are
going to
respect that!" Axel shouted. Fuigo and Ragea sighed. "Says the
talking tokyo buffet." Ragea said. Fuigo laughed, "You got thet
right
brother!" Axel glared to the two boys. "Kage come sit down, I'll
tell
you." Axel said in a calm manner. Kage kind of stumbled on her
way
up made it to the seat next to him. "Listen closely, okay?" Axel
began.
Kage nodded as she sat with her arms around her knees and her
back to the wall. The two sat in the floor as the others sat in
different
places and listened.
It was 50 years ago. A clash between two gods. The god of Ice
and
Light. Against him, the god Fire and Darkness. Kage-en, the god
of
Fire and Darkness, made a promise to himself saying, no matter
what
happened, he swore to the lands that he, himself would rain
darkness
upon them. But Hikari Kori, the god of Ice and Light, wouldn't
allow
solitary darkness. The battle went on and Kage-en had failed.
But in
his failure, demons had arose. For years the demons had been a
menace to the world. Until the tears of light rained down and
from
them arose the beings of light. The demon hunters, soul keepers,
healers, and banishers of the darkness. The pure blooded demons
came to a surreneder. The Light beings and the Demons came to a
treaty here at the school, 12 years ago. They made a deal,
Demoned
students will be taught secretly at night. The light beinged
students will
remain with their jobs and be taught at day. The academy is kept
a
secret from the humans. We either hide as humans, or hide as
animals. But there are still some twisted demons out there, some
we
haven't found yet.
Kage had listed well but still asked this question, "Then why is
the
Twisted being so important?" Shikuo looked away and Unikoae
answered, "Thats easy! The Twisted is the one who will bring us
to full
fledged demons, so then they can fight against the Light beings
and
actually WIN this time." "But that won't happen, because the
Twisted
is just an innocent little girl." Said Red Eye as he walked in
the room.
Everyone scrambled to their seats and sat down. Kage looked
franticly
trying to find someone to sit by. "Kage, get in a seat. Now!"
Red Eye
said. Axel waved over to her. Kage quickly walked over and sat
down
by him. Then Axel whispered, "Becareful, okay? These students
can
be a bit rude sometimes. And Red Eye, well no one really knows
but
he is a good teacher." "Shut up you two! Class has begun!" Red
Eye
Shouted. "Yes sir. Sorry sir." Axel said. Red Eye looked up at
Kage and
said, " Kage, I would like to see you after class. No
questions." Kage
nodded with a small sigh and thought, First night of school and
im
already in trouble? Class went by slowly. Kage looked around the
room and had not payed attention to a thing he had said. She
looked
down to her desk and sighed. Suddenly pocket knife came flying
and
had only grazed a single strand of hair. "Kage! Are you paying
attention!? You need to know how to concentrate your powers
together!" Red Eye yelled from down below the class. Kage almost
began to cry, and that she did. "My hair! How am I going to get
it that
even again without cutting more off!?" Kage whined with her head
on
her desk. Some classmates sort of stared and others look away
with
disgrace. Axel patted Kage's head, "Its fine, it'l grow back.
You can't
even tell its gone." "Real-" Kage got inturpted by the shadow of
her
teacher infront of her. She looked up to see Red Eye there. "I-
Promise-I-won't-inturupt-again!" She said quickly. Red Eye
walked
away after pulling the knife out of the desk. Everyone else
stood in
disappointment. They was really wanting to see if she was going
to be
punished, but she didn't. "Hey! How come she didn't get
punished!?
We all get punished, but she doesn't!?" Shikuo blurted out. In a
grey
blur Red Eye was instantly infront of Shikuo. Red Eye raised his
hand
and back handedly slapped Shikuo in the face. "Shut your mouth.
And
the rest of you, get to studying!"
Soon the bells rang for class to end. The others walked out of
the
room. Kage scrambled trying to find her pencil that she had
dropped
under her desk. Red Eye approached her from behind, "Kage." He
said loudly. Kage was frieghtened for a second and jumped up
hitting
her head on the desk. She turned around, still under her desk,
and
looked up at Red Eye. In the blink of an eye he had her pinned
to the
bottom side of the desk. Face-to-Face. "Your ears, change them
to
human ears." "But sir, I-" "Just hurry up!" Kage then
concentrated
really hard but still couldn't. "Im sorry but I can't figure out
how to."
She said. Red Eye put his finger to the collar on her neck. This
made
the dog ears fade away and human ears appear. "There." Red Eye
said. Kage was a bit embarassed being this close to her teacher.
"Ok,
so um... Can I go now?" She said hesitantly. The two lifted up
from
underneath the desk but Red Eye still had a grip on the Collar
Kage
was wearing.
Looking into the classroom was Shikuo. His eyes widened. The two
looked over to him. "Im sorry, Did I, um... Inturupt something?"
Shikuo
said. Kage's eyes widened and she looked over to Red Eye then
back
to Shikuo. "WHAT!? NO! NO, no,NO!!!" From that momment she
struggled to get free from his grip on the collar. Red Eye still
kept his
grip and still kept a straight face. "Do you need something
Shikuo?"
He said. "A therapist." Shikuo replied. "You can go now Kage."
Red
Eye said as he released the grip from Kage's collar. Shikuo
watched
Kage walk past him.
Ice met up with Kage outside and then the two walked to the
house.
"So what happened? How was it at night class, Kage?" Ice said.
Kage
replied, "Uhm... I'll tell you on the way home." ^^'
