       Butterfly Valley (Kelebekler Vadisi) is a valley on the
       Mediterranean Region of Turkey.
       Access to the coast is only available by boat or via some
       serious trek. The valley is known
       for its natural beauty, and particularly the unusual Jersey
       Tiger butterfly.

       <strong>
       History</strong>
       Some Lycian ruins in the area date from the fourth century, and
       terraced gardens were prevalent under the different
       civilizations that lived in the area. In the late sixties, the
       large fruit trees of traditional agriculture were cut down as
       part of a process to modernize farming, but the isolation of the
       area meant that the new system was never properly attended to.
       Eventually, the area was redesigned as a tourist attraction,
       emphasizing a back to nature angle with campsites.
       <strong>Navigation</strong>
       The valley is located between to cliffs on the Mediterranean.
       There is a path you can hike up to the town, but it is dangerous
       and not recommended.
       <strong>Getting there</strong><strong>
       </strong>
       From Fethiye there are dolmuses at 7, 11, and 17 to Ölüdeniz,
       returning at 8:40, 12:40, 18:40. From there, the trip to Faralya
       takes about a half hour by boat, departures at 11, 14, and 18.
