Tactics and Trick Dump
Tactic 1: Basic trick everybody has seen. When your opponent is
on the platform directly in front of you, wait for the opponent
to make his move. If you jump on to his platform to intercept,
he will catch you in midair, which is not a pleasant way to die.
Just be patient, but wary, because this is a time where somebody
will take advantage of you and attempt to go for a backstab
while you worry on the Player in the front.
Tactic 2: Crouching helps save lives. When a player is on your
platform, this means trouble. The only way to get out of here
would be to kill the intervening player, or flee from the scene.
Here is something handy: you may notice that when some people
stab, they crouch briefly and then get back up again. This is
said to increase your evasiveness, allowing you to counterattack
somebody's forward stab, and replace it with a well-placed kill
for yourself. Just be cautious, because crouching also makes you
take more damage that usual.
Trick: The Grapple Rope is not just useful for recovering from a
fall. Many players use the grapple for that reason only. But
there are also mobility advantages. If you hold your bound jump
button, and keep on hooking each platform in your way, you can
successfully pull off a 'flying' grapple trick, which will shoot
you across the map at great speeds.

Have you ever noticed those rare cases of people who attack you
SIDEWAYS? Isn't it madness? They look away from you, pointing
their left or right towards you, and then Jump sideways to get
you. Luckily, there is a way to deal with them: Dodging, or
Intercepting.
Dodging: When the Side-Striker jumps sideways at you, you can
avoid Afterlife or Death by simply jumping out of harm's way,
then jumping back at the attacker before he realizes what
happened.
Intercepting: Usually, the Side-Striker will jump off his
platform and miss landing on yours. He will still get the kill,
but will fall off the map, until he uses the grapple to get back
up. Here is what you can do: Be wary. Be ready to jump into his
way, the moment he tries to strike. This way, he will be facing
where you used to be, while you stab his flanks.

Very cool stuff indeed! Here are 2 of the moves I do all the
time
1. Grapple Kill
Charge your knife all the way, then switch to your grapple WHILE
still charging the knife. At the right moment let go and your
knife will let go and your grapple will instantly pop out. This
is very useful to kill people when you want to grapple right
after you stab your knife.
2. Midair Kill
When you and your opponent are on seperate platforms but close
to each other, there is an easy way to kill your opponent while
he/she is trying to jump towards you. This is a really effective
move but hard to master. Here is how to pull it off. First
charge your knife then when your opponent is right about to jump
in the air, you have to jump at the exact same time. Once you do
this, release your knife while you and your opponent are in the
air at the same time. If you do it right you will kill your
target very easily. Make sure to practice this move alot before
you can become good at it.
