       Main Character and Sworn Sword

       Hi together!
Can somebody please explain to me how the fighting mechanisms
       work?
I read in the alliance chat, that it's a good idea to have the
best equipment on the main character, because his stats count to
all fights with sworn swords. Okay.
But where is the use of sworn sword stats then (if they are
lower than main char, which is always the case)?
Even if I use boons on them, it doesn't make any difference to
the winning chance, because it only boosts the lower stats of
       the sworn swords.
       :-\

       Adventures and Quests
The main Question is: Is there a use of sworn sword stats, if
the stats of your main char are always better?

From what I understand the ss stats are the main concern when
going on missions and your characters powers lend strength to
your ss. If I am wrong I'm sure someone will correct me :)

When you do a PtP attack, the power with which you attack is
derived from a combination of your character stats and the stats
of the sword with which you are attacking. In AvA you also get
the added bonus of stats from the camp from which you are
       attacking.
In the attached pictures, I show the stats from a successful
barter against another player where my sword hit for a total of
710 points against an opposing player who defended with 478
points. When you first look at this, it look like my sword
would lose because his SS has a trade defense of 93 and mine
only has a trade stat of 78. However, my base character stat is
much higher, which is the first number of 374.
374 is derived from both my building upgrades and the gear on my
character, and this gets added to every trade attack that I do,
regardless if my SS is a trader or not. If I send a fighter to
barter with zero trade, he will still get a 374 point boost from
my keep and my main character.
The second number (the horned symbol) is the trade stat of the
SS. This is derived from a combination of training level and
the base stats of the gear that he has. As a peerless, he
already started with 30 in trade and the other 48 is a
combination of his gear and training.
These two numbers only add up to 452, so my sword would still be
at a disadvantage except for the final number which is the
percent bonus specifically for barter. This number is derived
from the added talents in my keep (you get one point per level
and can assign those to whichever skill), the percent training
and the added gear % bonus. The total 58% bonus adds another
258 points to my attack for a total of 710 giving me an
       advantage on the dice roll.
The next two pictures simply show my base stats and then my
trade stats from my keep, where you can see and check your
numbers. You can do this by clicking your character picture and
then the "stats" tab. Your character stats, again, are the
stats from your talent points, building upgrades and the gear
       your character has.
So having the best gear on your main character will boost your
swords by being added to all of them in addition to figuring
more prominently in the % bonus. My trade swords will never hit
for less than 374 (and actually hit for 500) due to my character
and keep stats. When dressing your main character, it's
important to have the most well-balanced and powerful weapons
that you have. If you're spending gold, it's hard to beat the
Valyrian Steel Greatsword (which shows on my opponents
character, but those are actually his character weapons, not the
ones worn by that SS), but if all you have is the Valyrian or
obsidian dagger, those will also increase your fighting ability
       in all areas.
       Hope this helps!
