I never understood why pardons even exist. Either you trust that
your judicial system is fair, in which case pardons are absurd,
or you don't, in which case you should fix it until you can
trust it.

their newborn sons Jared over the past few years, I recall this
piece of writing in the Guardian some 8 months ago on Jared
Kushner whose father has just been pardoned by Trump. Yes, this
