K. Christine Pae, chair of the department of religion at
Denison University in Ohio, said some structures of racialized
misogyny date to the longstanding hierarchical dualism between
body and spirit in the European church. Anything associated with
the body was seen as sinful, and women and people of color were
viewed as being closer to the body. Because “sexuality is still
also associated with Christian imagination of sin, especially
original sin,” Pae said, women of color were seen as
exceptionally sexual.
She said the Western church has long held up two images of women
— the Virgin/**** dichotomy. The first is the sexually pure
Virgin Mary, usually associated with white women, which became
the “number one reality that every woman thought they should
pursue,” Pae said, in contrast to the “**** woman, the
promiscuous woman,” often depicted also as a foreign woman
throughout the Bible, from the Book of Hosea to
Revelation.
Meanwhile, back in reality:

The body vs spirit dualism is fine (and in fact of Gnostic
origin). The problem is "white" projection of their own sex
mania onto everyone else.

Our enemies continue to fail to understand the difference
between Judaism and Christianity:
HTML https://vdare.com/posts/replacement-migration-in-the-bible
Debating what the Bible "really" means about this or that
political issue is a hopeless task, as there are countless
interpretations. Nonetheless, in the Old Testament, there's a
fairly direct reference to Replacement Migration as divine
punishment for breaking the divine law. The power and prosperity
of the nation are directly linked to following the commandments.
So for example, in Deuteronomy 28:1 (New International Version),
we read: "If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully
follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will
set you high above all the nations on earth."
However, in Deuteronomy 28: 43-44, we read that if a people does
not obey the divine law: "The foreigners who reside among you
will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower
and lower. They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them.
They will be the head, but you will be the tail."
All this is in the midst of other curses and punishments that
God will impose on the nation that won't obey His laws. The
point is that the nation's temporal power in this world, in this
life, is to serve as an example to others. In fact, national
destruction of this kind is intended to be "a sign and a wonder
to you and your descendants forever."
This not only is implicit recognition that the Bible recognizes
that different nations and peoples exist and that their
existence is divinely ordained, but that dispossession is
regarded as one of the worst punishments that can befall a
people.
This is Judaism.
It's thus strange to hear apparently Christian leaders
preach a creed which implies Americans (and Westerners
generally) have a kind of moral duty to replace and destroy
themselves. What exactly are they basing this on?
Jesus' teachings, perhaps?
“Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire
prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you
gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to
drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed
clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and
you did not look after me. … Whatever you did not do for one of
the least of these [my brothers], you did not do for me.” -
Jesus

German Cardinal’s resignation offer sends shockwaves through the
Catholic Church
Germany's most senior cleric has offered his resignation
to Pope Francis. Munich's Cardinal Reinhard Marx said that he
wanted to share responsibility for what he called the
"catastrophe of sexual abuse" by members of the Catholic church.
Marx has long been a leading voice in the call for church
reforms. Those calls have been growing louder as sex abuse
investigations revealed a decades-long cover-up by the clergy.
Marx said investigations and reports of the past 10 years showed
him there had not only been "a lot of personal failure and
administrative errors," but "also institutional and systemic
failure" within the Catholic Church.
Recent discussions had shown "that some in the church do not
want to acknowledge this element of co-responsibility and thus
also complicity of the institution and are therefore opposed to
any reform and renewal dialogue in connection with the abuse
crisis," he wrote in a letter to the pope dated May 21 and
published on Friday by his archdiocese in Munich.
The archdiocese said in its press release on the issue that Pope
Francis had since responded to Cardinal Marx, telling him that
he could make the letter public, and to remain in his role
until he received an answer.

Someone who understands what I have been saying about false
"apologies" by bullies:
HTML https://twitter.com/BethMooreLPM/status/1403697131421061129
I hear it said, “How many times are we going to have to
repent (of racism, injustice, of abuses, misuses of power, etc)
We’ve already done that!” This is where we don’t get it.
Repentance is not just words. Not even sincere, tearful words.
It’s a change of mind that results in a transformed attitude
that reflects the mind of Christ Jesus (Phil 2) resulting in the
fruit of the Spirit. We are confusing repentance with saying I’m
sorry then still evidencing the same attitudes whether blatantly
or subtly. People don’t believe we repented because they don’t
see we’ve changed. They don’t believe we’ve changed because they
see the same old fruit & it’s plastic. It’s the fruit of the
flesh & not of the Spirit (see both in Gal 5). This isn’t rocket
science. People don’t accept that repentance was sincere when
they still see evidences of the same old sins, patterns, pride
and self protections rather than the sacrificial love of Christ
in us. They don’t believe us because we have lied repeatedly. We
are betting our futures on people being gullible. And it turns
out that fewer and fewer are falling for it. All this could
change. It WOULD change with true repentance. It will change
with “Come what may, no matter what happens to me, my position,
job, network or reputation, I’m going with Christ on this
because that was wrong & this is what is right & TRUE. I entrust
my future to Jesus alone.”
I remember like yesterday the day my abuser came to me and
begrudgingly, as if he were the victim, told me in very general
terms that he was sorry. And at the end of his short speech, he
paused a moment & with pinched face said, “And that’s the last I
ever want to talk about it.” And that moment I knew he was only
sorry he got caught. I escorted him to the door.
Words mean nothing. Humility speaks. Facing the damage speaks.
Taking responsibility speaks. Being willing to do whatever it
takes to make it right, these are things that speak.
"Christian" again misused by rightists as a synonym for "white":
HTML https://www.yahoo.com/news/school-lessons-black-lives-matter-172417999.html
School lessons on Black Lives Matter are anti-Christian,
parents say in PA lawsuit
The smackdown:
Rev. Gregory Edwards, senior pastor of Resurrected Life
Community Church in Allentown, told The Morning Call that true
Christians should not take offense to the school’s teachings.
“The only ‘Christians’ offended by teaching subjects or topics
that will dismantle the sin of racism and the scourge of white
supremacy from public schools or any other institutions or
systems are those who have weaponized their faith in order to
protect an idolatrous worldview of whiteness, privilege and
white supremacy,” Edwards told the publication.
