Deputies located the two brothers after the attack, and
authorities pronounced Taylen Brooks dead at the scene. Law
enforcement fired their weapons to scare off the cougar, which
was found by game wardens and trappers and euthanized later that
evening near the scene of the attack.

As for the activism itself, excellent target choice and fair
weapon choice, but one thing I have never understood: if you are
willing to bring one knife, why not bring two (or more)? Anyway,
