Gautuma Buddha's title of Shakyamuni refers to him being from
the Shakya clan.
--- Quote ---
> The Buddha was born into an aristocratic family in the Shakya
clan but eventually renounced lay life.
--- End Quote ---
Many argue that Shakya were the Saka people, or eastern
Scythians.
--- Quote ---
> The Scythians (/ˈsɪθiən, ˈsɪš-/;
from Greek Σκύθης,
Σκύθοι), also known as Scyth,
Saka, Sakae, Iskuzai, or Askuzai
--- End Quote ---
--- Quote ---
> According to Levman "while the Sakyans’ rough speech and Munda
ancestors do not prove that they spoke a non-Indo-Aryan
language, there is a lot of other evidence suggesting that they
were indeed a separate ethnic (and probably linguistic)
group."[68] Christopher I. Beckwith identifies the Shakyas as
Scythians.[69]
--- End Quote ---
Would be interesting to consider Buddha's original Scythian
origin, as it also says in the Pali Canon he had blue eyes and
black hair, but important to remember he also renounced his
family's way of life.

Another interesting Scythian-related thing, Ammonius Saccas, the
teacher of Plotinus, has a name meaning 'Scythian sage.'

By your own quote:
--- Quote ---
> "while the Sakyans’ rough speech and Munda ancestors do not
prove that they spoke a non-Indo-Aryan language, there is a lot
of other evidence suggesting that they were indeed a separate
ethnic (and probably linguistic) group."[68]
--- End Quote ---
If the Sakyas had Munda ancestors, how can they be Scythians?
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munda_peoples
--- Quote ---
> Munda languages arrived on the coast of Odisha from Southeast
Asia about 4000-3500 years ago.[1] The Munda people spread from
Southeast Asia and mixed extensively with local Indian
populations.[2]
> ...
> Haplogroup O1b1, which is common in Austroasiatic people and
some other ethnic groups in southern China, and haplogroup O1b2,
which is common in today Japanese, Koreans and some Manchu, are
the carriers of Yangtze civilization (Baiyue).[4] Another study
suggests that the haplogroup O1b1 is the major Austroasiatic
paternal lineage and O1b2 the “para-Austroasiatic” lineage of
the Yayoi people.[5]
--- End Quote ---
The Scythians, who do not arrive in India until:
--- Quote ---
> Scythians were part of the Achaemenid army in the Achaemenid
conquest of the Indus Valley from the 6th century BCE.
--- End Quote ---
would have arrived too late to mix with the Munda long enough to
form a stable ethnic group. The only theoretical way I can
imagine for Siddhartha (born in the 6th century BCE) as an
individual to have been half-Scythian is if Suddhodana literally
got cuckolded(!).
Seriously, I see no reason to doubt the mainstream narrative
that the Shakyas are Suryavanshi kshatriyas:

--- Quote ---
> The accounts of Buddhist texts
>
> The words "Bu-dhe" and "Sa-kya-mu-nī" (Sage of the
"Shakyas") in Brahmi script, on Ashoka's Rummindei Minor Pillar
Edict (circa 250 BCE).
>
> The Shakyas are mentioned in later Buddhist texts as well,
including the Mahāvastu (c. late 2nd century BCE),
Buddhaghoṣa and Sumaṅgalavilāsinī, a
commentary by Buddhaghoṣa on the Digha Nikaya (c. 5th
century CE), mostly in the accounts of the birth of the Buddha,
as a part of the Adicchabandhus (kinsmen of the sun)[23] or the
Ādichchas and as descendants of the legendary king
Ikshvaku:
>
> There lived once upon a time a king of the Śākya, a
scion of the solar race, whose name was Suddhodana. He was pure
in conduct and beloved of the Śākya like the autumn
moon. He had a wife, splendid, beautiful, and steadfast, who was
called the Great Maya, from her resemblance to Maya the Goddess.
> — Buddhacarita of Aśvaghoṣa, I.1–2
--- End Quote ---
If as we propose Ikshvaku is Rishaba, then those among his
descendants spreading east either in retreat from degenerate
Indus Valley civilization:
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indus_Valley_Civilisation
--- Quote ---
> Dates
--- End Quote ---
or, at the latest, in retreat from the Vedics:
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vedic_period
--- Quote ---
> Early Vedic period (c. 1500 – c. 1000 BCE)
--- End Quote ---
would have had plenty of time to mix with the Munda. (Being the
inheritor of two independently evolved Aryan bloodlines could
also help to explain Siddhartha's exceptional empathic powers:

The argument is that the "Solar Dynasty" had either a Scythian
origin or Scythian admixture, reason being is the origin of
"Shakya" and "Saka," as well as it stating in the Pali Canon
that Gautuma Buddha had blue eyes, a Scandinavian or Scythian
feature. More evidence for Scandinavian interaction would be the
sage Yajnavalkya in the Upanishads, who has a Scandinavian name.
I don't think it's a coincidence or "false friend" etymology
that Buddha was a blue-eyed member of the "Shakya" clan, and
this had nothing to do with the Eastern Scythian "Saka" people
who would have also been blue-eyed. As far as them having Munda
ancestors, it's more likely some type of cultural integration
that occurred than it would be a top-down lineage.

"The argument is that the "Solar Dynasty" had either a Scythian
origin"
But the Suryavansha has been in India before the Scythians even
existed. The Scythians postdate the Vedics:
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scythians
--- Quote ---
> The Scythians first appeared in the historical record in the
8th century BC.[25]
--- End Quote ---
whereas the Suryavansha predates the Vedics:
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_dynasty
--- Quote ---
> In Indian epics, the Solar dynasty or the Ikshvaku dynasty was
founded by the legendary king Ikshvaku.[1] The dynasty is also
known as Sūryavaṁśa ("Solar dynasty" or
"Descendants of the Sun") and along with Lunar dynasty comprises
one of the main lineages of the Kshatriya Varna. Rama belonged
to the Ikshavaku dynasty and Krishna belonged to the Lunar
Dynasty.[4] According to the Jain texts, first Tirthankar
Rishabhdeva himself and other Twenty one tirthankars were born
in this dynasty.[5][3] According to Buddhist texts and
tradition, Gautama Buddha descended from this dynasty. Many
later kings of the Indian subcontinent claimed to be of
Suryavanshi background.
--- End Quote ---
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikshvaku
--- Quote ---
> According to the Vedas, Ikshvaku was the protector of the five
territories of Panchajanah who were non-sacrificing
pre-Aryan[Vedic] and non-Aryan[Vedic] people. The Atharvaveda
and Brahmanas associate the Ikshvakus with the non-Aryan[Vedic]
people, that is they are different from the Vedic Aryans who
composed hymns of the four Vedas.[5][6] F. E. Pargiter has
equated the Ikshvakus with the Dravidian peoples.[7]

"Dravidian peoples"
Dravidian is just a linguistic group. Who said Dravidians can't
be Aryan?* Also, it is incorrect to categorize all pre-Vedics as
some monoethnic "Dravidian" group. Those Aryans from the IVC who
were in close proximity to the Vedics might have not spoken the
PIE language of the early Vedics, but it is undeniable that many
of the Vedic words, most notably the word "Aryan" itself, was
absent from PIE vocabulary before contact with the Indus Aryans,
and hence it is safe to assume that the "Indo-Aryan" language
group was formed by the Indus people infusing their
agriculturalist (Aryan) vocabulary into a Proto-Indo-European
(Turanian) base.
Therefore, "Indo-Aryans" should be used to refer to this
linguistic group and should not just be used as a blanket term
for all descendants of the PIE peoples who happened to arrive in
India, which means some non-Vedic Indus people should be
included as well.
Again, where do you think the Proto-Indo-Europeans first got the
word Aryan? From the "Indo" part of the world, i.e. the Indus
people (Aryans), or the "European" (Eurasian/Turanian) part of
the world?
*Speaking of which:

corroborate the historic authenticity of legends.[1]
