"This is why it is so important that Blue rhetoric emphasizes
the Americanness of Blue voters as opposed to the
anti-Americanness of Red voters."
Exactly. Imagine a Blue candidate with the same "American
Nationalist" platform as Vivek, except instead of useful idiot
Duginism wrt foreign policy, they ran on a U.S.-China alliance.
And instead of "meritocratic"* anti-wokeism, they ran on social
justice.
*As you mentioned elsewhere, the right supports "meritocracy",
but in their view, "merit" is Faustianism. This is why they are
against qualified "Asian" immigration as well, since they view
these "Asians" (with the exception of "East Asians" in some
cases due to the Arctic Alliance) as insufficiently
"innovative". I am against diversity quotas, but I also support
scaling back industries that reward Faustianism (i.e. high
technology), or at the very least, making it so that Faustianism
is no longer rewarded in those industries.

Meanwhile:
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is in the midst of a showdown
with New York City Mayor Eric Adams over the legality of foie
gras, a luxurious, but controversial form of duck liver.
Adams' administration has sought to enforce a ban on the
delicacy over animal rights complaints, as producing the fatty
liver requires force-feeding ducks at specialty [s]farms[/s]
elsewhere in the state.
Is foie gras American? Of course not!
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foie_gras
Foie gras is a popular and well-known delicacy in French
cuisine. Its flavour is rich, buttery, and delicate, unlike an
ordinary duck or goose liver. Foie gras is sold whole or is
prepared as mousse, parfait, or pâté, and may also be served as
an accompaniment to another food item, such as steak. French law
states, "Foie gras belongs to the protected cultural and
gastronomical heritage of France."[2]
...
The Judaic dietary law, Kashrut, forbade lard as a cooking
medium, and butter, too, was proscribed as an alternative since
kashrut also prohibited mixing meat and dairy products.[9]
Jewish cuisine used olive oil in the Mediterranean and sesame
oil in Babylonia, but neither cooking medium was readily
available in Western and Central Europe, so poultry fat (known
in Yiddish as schmaltz), which could be abundantly produced by
overfeeding geese, was substituted in their stead.[24][26][27]
The delicate taste of the goose's liver was soon appreciated;
Hans Wilhelm Kirchhof of Kassel wrote in 1562 that the Jews
raise fat geese and particularly love their livers.
...
Appreciation of fattened goose liver spread to gastronomes
outside the Jewish community, who could buy in the local Jewish
ghetto of their cities. In 1570, Bartolomeo Scappi, chef de
cuisine to Pope Pius V, published his cookbook Opera, wherein he
writes that "the liver of [a] domestic goose raised by the Jews
is of extreme size and weighs [between] two and three
pounds".[28] In 1581, Marx Rumpolt of Mainz, chef to several
German nobles, published the massive cookbook Ein Neu Kochbuch,
describing that the Jews of Bohemia produced livers weighing
more than three pounds; he lists recipes for it—including one
for goose liver mousse.[28][29] János Keszei, chef to the court
of Michael Apafi, the prince of Transylvania, included foie gras
recipes in his 1680 cookbook A New Book About Cooking,
instructing cooks to "envelop the goose liver in a calf's thin
skin, bake it and prepare [a] green or [a] brown sauce to
accompany it. I used goose liver fattened by Bohemian Jews; its
weight was more than three pounds. You may also prepare a mush
of it."
(Adams should remember the above before he does another one of
these:

Woke comment:
Mayor Bloomberg approved the slaughter of indigenous
Canadian geese that lived in parks after the famous "Miracle on
the Hudson" where a plane collided with geese. The geese in
Prospect Park lived there for years and he had the Parks
Department round them up, tie their feet with plastic ties, and
put them in trucks designed to gas them to death. The only
problem was that geese forage for food underwater and thus can
hold their breath for a long time. So for them being gassed
while hog tied was a painful, terrifying and bad way to go.
Children who loved the geese were greeted by feathers and
plastic ties when they came to the lake the next day. Good to
hear Adams has at least one thing right.
HTML https://trueleft.createaforum.com/news/police-rightist-bias/msg10105/#msg10105
Bloomberg's family is Jewish, and he is a member of the
Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan.[11] Bloomberg's paternal
grandfather, Rabbi Alexander "Elick" Bloomberg, was a Polish
Jew.[12][13] Bloomberg's maternal grandfather, Max Rubens, was a
Lithuanian Jewish immigrant from present-day Belarus,[14][15]
and his maternal grandmother was born in New York to Lithuanian
Jewish parents
Leaving aside the fact that the 12% should not be called
"Americans":

Now we just need to convince more people on our side of the
political spectrum to stop saying things like “There’s nothing
more manly than a vegan man who cares for animals. Men obsessed
with eating meat are just insecure!”

While more and more people every year are facing starvation due
to global warming, here is an example of Turanian fragility:

Persson expressed her sadness at the situation and explained
that many residents were becoming dissatisfied with the meals on
offer, particularly towards the end of the month when finances
are stretched, but did note that those who do not wish to
partake in a milk-free porridge breakfast are able to opt for
sandwiches instead.

That this even makes the news is ridiculous enough, but the
inclusion of the 'sad' pictures takes it beyond parody.....
(My own breakfast porridge (no milk of course) is much thinner
(ie. larger proportion of water) than the versions shown in the
pictures: I don't even need a spoon for it! And I am grateful
for it.)

From a dialogue between two female presenters on a radio
program, it came to my knowledge that these days, it is quite
common for people to fly to various destinations around the
world just to enjoy a meal in a famous or exotic restaurant.
These two were talking about flying to Florence, Italy simply to
taste of a certain special steak in one high-end steak house
there that only serves steaks 'rare', which is contrary to the
norm when diners are asked how well-done they would like their
steak done to suit their taste.
If such a restaurant were to be in Hong Kong or mainland China,
I'm quite sure these two presenters would be rebuking this
restaurant for being so unprofessional. As it is, due to the
restaurant being in Europe, the restaurant was praised for being
ultra professional in dictating the way the steak should be
served, even it means having no respect for the diner's own
preference.
That's how pathetic some people are in Hong Kong - those
Western-centric yellow-ites!

Incredible that a chain whose very name is based on meat is now
being required to change its menu. On another note, I think
Americans can learn from Indians how non-vegan American dishes
can be made vegan/vegetarian (e.g. veggie burgers, veggie pizza,
etc.)
