He appears to naively believe that the Gentiles attacking him
can calmly be reasoned with, as he urges them over and over
again to read the full interview before commenting. But
eventually, even he realizes the futility of this and gives up:

doing psychiatry on Khilanani uninvited, treating her as if she
needs help even though she never for it. He is behaving in the
