Recommended games to play

LIMBO:
Limbo is a 2D platformer where you play as a boy trying to find
his sister while avoiding some hostiles and traps. This game
meets nearly every criteria expressed through various postings
on this website:
- Zero textures. Everything is black and white.
- Zero text (except in the menu).
- Zero dialogue.
- Directional pad and two buttons only (action and jump).
- Runs on a potato.
- Runs on Linux (and other major platforms).
This game is the true definition of accessible where anybody can
play it. It's not the crappy "accessible" version where the game
handholds you.
It's available on all major platforms. Check it out.

Thanks for sharing, that looks really cool! Definitely going to
have to check this out!
I'm so bored with most of the games and game ideas out now I've
really been contemplating creating my own as of late.

New Zelda game "Breath of The Wild" is dripping with Turanian
blood memory:
HTML https://youtu.be/i_pTqQf53zA
I was pretty excited for the game, but when playing it,
something just didn't sit right with me. Perhaps it was the
hunting, which is required to obtain food in the game? The
horseback riding in the grassy steppes was also unsettling
because I knew the non-Aryans (who called themsleves "Aryan")
who did this practice in prehistoric times were very violent.
Then after reading Aryan Diffusion, I realized that this was
indeed a glorification of Turanism.
The only reason why I played the game was because of its story,
which itself was lackluster.
This illustrates how even non-Western developers are now
creating games that appeal primarily to the sensiblites of
Westerners. This game is part of the broader "open-world" trend
in video games overall, which seeks to create more and more
expansive worlds for Westerners to "explore".

I only play the original Legend of Zelda (NES) and A Link to the
Past (SNES).

"Ah, yes. While everyone else was focused on the Prime series, I
ignored it completely and only played Fusion and Zero Mission."
New 2D Metroid game announced!:

It is the sequel to Metroid fusion that was announced 20 years
ago!
Although the graphics are 3D in contrast to the 2D graphics of
the GBA, I appreciate the revival of the retro 2D gameplay
perspective.

It makes me wonder what this would have looked like, if the
creators decided to discard the standard convention of
"modernizing" every franchise under the sun with 3D graphics. I
feel that it would have turned out a lot better, since 2D
animation generally allows for more creative liberties than 3D
realism. I like the idea of a more intense 2D Metroid though, so
I might get this even though I'm not really a Metroid fan to
begin with. If we're talking 2D games, I'm more excited for the
Cuphead DLC that'll probably come out in another million years
The film is a typical ZC wet dream that shows Brad Pitt,
the archetypal Westerner with a mesomorphic build subduing Bruce
Lee's character with ease due to his ectomorphic build and
smaller stature, despite the obvious disparity in combat
skill.
I remember thinking "WTF' Bruce Lee should have kicked his ass!"
when watching that scene.
"Prince of Persia Trilogy"
The 90's 2-d versions were very frustrating to play because of
controls and you couldn't react to the traps fast enough because
you couldn't see what was on the next screen!
I thought The Sands of Time was pretty good. I liked walking
into a giant room and figuring out how to get to the next
location. The game was well paced and didn't drag on. The combat
was kind of boring though.
Ah, yes. While everyone else was focused on the Prime
series, I ignored it completely and only played Fusion and Zero
Mission. Did you play these two?
There are plenty of examples of classic franchises that have
transitioned to 3-d and have epically failed (Castlevania, Mega
Man, Earthworm Jim, Busy, Contra, Monkey Island...) Nintendo has
somehow made theirs work.

Looks good! I hope for a remake of Zelda Oracle of Seasons/Ages
like they did with Link's Awakening!

" Nintendo has somehow made theirs work."
I must say, because of the fact that I was born well after the
start of the 3d era and have no experience with 2d games,
Nintendo games have always drawn me in compared to other games.
Perhaps it is because they have been able to retain much of
their original spirit from the 2d era in their games, in
comparison to other developers (including non-Western ones).
I recall my peers would often ridicule Nintendo games for being
"childish" compared to most of the games that were popular in
the post-9/11 era, so I take it as a compliment from them that I
was a fan of "childish" games.

Indeed. There are a few reasons for that. In the early to mid
90's, Nintendo and Sega's marketing focused on different age
demographics. If you look at Sonic, you'll notice his shoes and
"attitude" that catered to the adolescent "hip" crowd.
Nintendo's biggest blunder was to censor the blood in the SNES
port of Mortal Kombat to please members of Congress. Like the
game or not, Mortal Kombat was definitely a counter culture game
at the time.
The other reasons for Nintendo's "kiddie" image are more benign:
No first person shooters, more colorful palette, the "purple
lunchbox" GameCube, just a lack of graphic violence in general.
I feel like most of these moves by Nintendo were not done to
please the kids but to please the adult parents. They didn't
have to make violent games themselves, but they could have
allowed other developers to publish violent games on their
platform.

"Mortal Kombat"
Mortal Kombat is a Western franchise, published by the Jewish
Warner Bros. Corporation. Many of its fans are the "rebellious"
angsty "Whites" who love graphic depictions of violence. I like
the Street Fighter franchise by (non-Western) Capcom instead.
