State control over reproduction would be required to do it
rigorously. If a fraction of eggs are extracted at an early age
and frozen, these can be compared with eggs extracted later to
see if the latter are qualitatively altered. If they are, it
would trivially indicate that telegony occurred sometime during
the interim.
