Not being forced to act alongside Musk is hardly Cancel Culture.
Cancel Culture would be if Musk doesn't get to appear on TV
unless he produces and broadcasts his own shows from scratch
(including building his own cameras etc.). The point is to make
it as inconvenient for him as possible. Whereas now there is no
inconvenience for him: he just shows up and does the show as
usual!

Well, true. I would have hoped that the show would have been
cancelled had the producers listen to the wishes of the regulars
that appear on the show. I guess we'll have to wait and see....
Also, it's good to know that there are plenty of people out
there who disagree with Musk.

Well done Clubhouse!
HTML https://www.yahoo.com/news/clubhouse-appears-permanently-suspended-laura-161937557.html
Laura Loomer, a political figure known for making
anti-Muslim remarks and spreading conspiracy theories, said
she's been suspended by Clubhouse.
...
Before her suspension, Salon reporter Zachary Petrizzo noted on
Twitter that Loomer was "doubling down on her anti-Muslim
remarks on Clubhouse, and saying that she doesn't want to be
'roadkill' if Uber doesn't do background checks on Muslim
drivers."
Former President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law, Lara Trump,
made headlines during the US election for campaigning alongside
Loomer.
In 2017, Loomer celebrated the deaths of 2,000 migrants crossing
the Mediterranean and called for "2,000 more" deaths. She was
banned by Uber and Lyft that same year for Anti-Muslim
comments.
HTML https://www.yahoo.com/news/oklahoma-governor-booted-tulsa-race-212253538.html
TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The commission formed to observe the
100th anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre announced Friday
that it had booted Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt from his seat on
the panel a week after he signed a bill outlawing the teaching
of some race and racism concepts in public schools.
A statement from the commission did not indicate the reason for
the parting, and a spokeswoman said the commission had no
further comment. However, commission project manager Phil
Armstrong this week had sharply criticized the Republican
governor for signing a bill into law that prohibits the teaching
of so-called critical race theory in Oklahoma schools.
About Stitt:
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Stitt
In March 2020, Stitt went out to restaurants amid the
coronavirus pandemic and posted a photo on Twitter of him doing
so with two of his children.[73][74] He later deleted the tweet,
and his spokesperson said, "the governor will continue to take
his family out to dinner and to the grocery store without living
in fear and encourages Oklahomans to do the same."[75] President
Trump said he did not advocate going out to eat but did not
criticize Stitt.[76] In the tweet, Stitt wrote, "Eating with my
kids and all my fellow Oklahomans ... It's packed tonight!" The
photograph he posted with his kids showed them smiling while
surrounded by restaurant patrons.[77] On June 20, Stitt attended
the Trump rally in Tulsa, and was seen without wearing a
mask.[78] On July 15, Stitt announced that he had tested
positive for COVID-19.[79] He is the first United States
governor diagnosed with COVID-19.[80]
In April 2020, Stitt ordered a massive purchase of
hydroxychloroquine, a drug of unproven efficacy as a treatment
against the coronavirus but which had been heavily promoted by
Donald Trump and his allies.[81] By January 2021, Oklahoma had a
$2 million stockpile of hydroxychloroquine which it sought to
offload.[81]

England pace bowler Ollie Robinson has been suspended
from international cricket pending an investigation into
historical racist and sexist tweets.
...
The tweets, posted when Robinson was aged 18 and 19, came to
light on Wednesday afternoon, while he was on the field.
After play, he apologised, saying he was "embarrassed" and
"ashamed".
"I am sorry, and I have certainly learned my lesson today," he
said. "I want to make it clear that I'm not racist and I'm not
sexist."
He did not apologize and he is not sorry, as he still has all
his fingers. Also, he is a racist. If he were not, he would not
have posted the tweets in the first place. That he can claim to
not be racist even as he is pretending to apologize is in itself
testimony to his insincerity. The tweets:

Note the hashtag on the second tweet is literally "#racist". How
can he claim to not be racist after posting it?

Have we reached TikTok?
HTML https://www.yahoo.com/news/jewish-tiktok-creators-feel-silenced-143600447.html
Jewish TikTokers see a rise in antisemitic comments. But
they're the ones getting banned.
...
On TikTok, Jewish creators say speaking about their Judaism
comes with a price. Comment sections on the content of Jewish
TikTokers are often filled with antisemitic remarks, stereotypes
and slurs. Some Jewish creators say they have to think about
whether they want to disclose their Judaism on the app, knowing
the harassment they’re likely to be subjected to.
But recently some Jewish creators said they feel the app is
subjecting them to a type of censorship by regularly flagging
and removing their content. Nearly a half-dozen Jewish creators
told NBC News that their videos are being banned and removed for
allegedly violating TikTok’s community guidelines for things
like hateful behavior, hamstringing their ability to use the
app. Most of those creators said when they appeal their bans or
video removals, the app says the punishment was made in error.
The types of videos that creators said the app flagged for
violating its community guidelines include TikToks debunking
antisemitic comments, a video discussing a news story about
antisemitic violence, a video of a bat mitzvah held for a cat
and a repost of a video made by TikTok in honor of the United
Kingdom’s Holocaust Memorial Day.
Because indeed such videos are racist. Denying Jewish racism is
racist. Putting spin on news stories about anti-racism is
racist. Anything to do with Judaism is racist. Lying about a
supposed "Holocaust" is racist.
Jewish creators said they sometimes run into problems
when they reply to antisemitic comments on their pages. TikTok
has a feature that allows users to create video responses to
specific comments, and Jewish creators sometimes use this to
call out the antisemitic remarks and threats on their pages.
TikTok’s policy allows users to post counterspeech, but the
Jewish creators said when they post counterspeech videos
responding to these comments, they are frequently removed for
violating community guidelines. In some cases, the original
offending comment remains up.
Because indeed counterspeech to anti-racism is by definition
racism. And the original comments remain because criticism of
Jews is anti-racism.
Tommer, 32, and Yossi, 26, who run the account @JewCrazy
and asked to be identified only by their first names to protect
their safety, said they’ve experienced nine bans from the app in
two weeks, spanning from the end of May to the beginning of
June.
The brothers-in-law have tried to take precautions against
triggering a ban on their account, where they post comedic
videos “with a Jewish twist,” which includes staying away from
posting political videos and restricting what words commenters
are allowed to use on their page. TikTok does not have any
policy banning discussion of the conflict between Palestinians
and Israelis.
The first time they received a ban in mid-May, they were
dumbfounded. Then it happened again.
“We got another ban, like, OK, what’s going on? And then another
ban. We got four bans in a few days and we hadn’t done
anything,” Yossi said.
You had been Jewish and thus racist.
They said they reached out to a TikTok community manager
email, and eventually the ban was reversed and their account was
restored. Within minutes of posting their next video, they were
once again banned.
Nice!
“We’re out here to make content that’s inclusive. … Don’t
ban us for being Jewish,” Yossi said.
Being Jewish is anti-inclusive by definition.
“The comments that I get and the hate that I get and the
bans that I get are simply because I’m Jewish,” Michael said.
“There’s no other explanation.”
No should there need to be.
Several Jewish TikTok creators said they, too, have
received some version of the "Hitler was right," comment on
their page.
He was!
"Jews don’t feel safe on TikTok," he said. "We feel it’s
very toxic to us just for the same basic, fun TikToks we’re
posting like everybody else."
You are not everybody else. You are Jews and thus racists.

BOYCOTT ZARA!
HTML https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/zara-boycott-designer-161338519.html
Customers are calling for Zara to be boycotted over a
recent controversy surrounding a designer fro the brand.
The company's head women's designer, Vanessa Perilman, is under
fire for allegedly sending off Islamophobic texts to Palestinian
model Qaher Harhash.
The text messages came to light after the entrepreneur Hannah
Rsk shared screenshots to her more than 90,000 Instagram
followers.
"So your point is that you are trying to show the world that
Israel is a horrible, evil country that does terrible things to
Palestinians? OMG, I want to vomit," the text allegedly sent to
Harhash reads.
...
Naturally, the unveiling of Perilman's alleged text messages has
sparked a major controversy, resulting in Twitter calling for
Zara to be boycotted going forward.
"Zara must condemn this loud and clear. 'Til then we can and we
must boycott," one person tweeted, while another added, "I will
not buy Zara anymore."
"F—- Zara. I'm so glad I've never shopped from there," someone
else wrote.
"So disappointing that I won’t ever shop at Zara again," added
another. "Probably 70% of my wardrobe is Zara. I buy something
once a month minimum from Zara. But I can’t support a company
that supports any type of hate speech."
"This is really outlandish," another tweeted. "These remarks are
not just misplaced or ignorant but are extremely racist and
hateful, and they demonstrate the core prejudice of the
individual."
