an article authored by a Mendoza College of Business associate
professor was cited in a white supremacist justification written
by the suspected gunman believed to have killed 10 Black
shoppers in an apparent racism-driven rampage last weekend in a
Buffalo, NY, grocery store.

> But Notre Dame officials stopped short of condemning the
contents of the article from nearly nine years ago, and did not
address the faculty members' employment status with the
university.
>
> The writings of the associate professor, John Gaski, came to
light this week after social media posts drew attention to a
2013 story published by Investor's Business Daily, a website
specializing in business news and stock market analysis.

social media voicing disappointment in "weak" language used to
address the situation.

history, and THIS is the best you could come up with?"

BOYCOTT NOTRE DAME!
By the way, Gaski also looks like what we would expect:

The tweet:

Since he claims to like Rwandan weather, he should migrate there
himself (while refugees who like UK weather should be allowed to
stay in the UK). Since he hasn't migrated to Rwanda himself, his
praise of Rwanda is obviously disingenuous. Disingenuous
tribalists do not deserve a college spot. Well done Burnley!

Of course, the problem is not solved by cancelling his college
spot alone. His bloodline needs to be eliminated.

the Bronx for a few weeks so I'm like the only white dude in
this whole gym, so I got this NAACP shirt so these people vibe

than they fear hastily punishing innocent people. Consider the
case of Emma Sarley, who in fall 2021 was fired from her job at

dog park.

calculation from management. Or perhaps it indicates something
more insidious: that our poorly worded jokes or clumsy
invectives in moments of frustration can be found by bad actors
on the internet, trotted out for all to mock, and assumed to be
representative of our character. No mercy, no weighing of our
own account of what happened, and certainly no job at the end of
the public cross-examination.

Introducing the shameless Amy Wax Defence Against Cancellation:
HTML https://www.thedp.com/article/2022/09/penn-law-amy-wax-memorandum-postpone-proceedings
--- Quote ---
> Amy Wax's legal team submitted a memorandum seeking the
dismissal of the ongoing University disciplinary proceedings
against her on grounds of a "disabled state" from illness.
>
> The 59-page memorandum claims that Wax — the tenured Penn Law
School professor who is facing potential punishment for her
inflammatory conduct — is undergoing treatment for
“life-threatening” cancer, and asks for postponement of the
ongoing proceedings until “at least” the end of the year. David
Shapiro, Wax’s lawyer, sent the document to Faculty Senate Chair
Vivian L. Gadsden, who is overseeing the proceedings, on Aug.
31.
> ...
> The memorandum from Wax’s lawyers claims that during the
proceedings, Ruger has refused to provide medical accommodation
to Wax throughout her cancer treatment under the Americans with
Disabilities Act. The memorandum asked Gadsden to delay the
current proceedings until Wax’s “disabled state” from treatment
has abated, portraying their request as an issue of fairness.
--- End Quote ---
If she really wanted to prioritize medical treatment, she could
voluntarily quit, thereby immediately ending the proceedings
against her!
--- Quote ---
> O’Garro-Moore added that Wax represents someone who is testing
how far she can get away with “unchecked” influence and
protection while hurting those who have encountered her.
--- End Quote ---
This.
