Allow me to interject some strategic logic into this absurdity.
If I know the enemy's attack will fail, I would be trying to
goad the enemy into attempting the attack so that they can
actually fail and expose themselves at the same time (rather
than stay concealed and be able to attack later). So to ask the
enemy not to attack BECAUSE their attack will (supposedly) fail
makes no sense whatsoever. And the fact that he is able to say
something like that makes clear he does not understand the first
thing about conflict. My guess is that asking the enemy not to
attack (a.k.a. begging for mercy) is in fact the only thing this
guy knows how to do. Faced with an actual attack, does he look
like he would know how to respond? His speaking tone alone
reveals he is no warrior!
The existence of guys like this on the left should be considered
an embarassment to leftists.
