[quote]Between Israeli forces and Hamas “terrorists”? ANI should
stop using labels which the govt of India has not officially
given. India has not designated Hamas as a terrorist
organisation and Indian has always been with Palestine in this
issue. ANI and Smitha Prakash are blatantly feeding right wing
nutcases with such captions

Iran Calls On Muslim Nations To Designate Israel Army "Terrorist
Organisation"
[quote]
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi called Saturday on Islamic
governments to designate Israel's military a "terrorist
organisation", citing its current operations in the Gaza Strip.
"Islamic governments should designate the army of the occupying
and aggressor regime as a terrorist organisation," Raisi told a
summit of Arab and Muslim leaders in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
He called for "cutting any sort of political or economic
relations with the Zionist regime" as important steps to be
taken by Islamic countries.
Implementing a "trade boycott against the Zionist regime
especially in the energy field should be prioritised," he added.
The Iranian president, whose country is a supporter of Hamas
militants, hit out at the United States for providing financial
and military support to Israel.
"Both the war machine of the Zionist regime and its fuel belong
to the Americans," he said, adding that "undoubtedly, the US
government is the commander and the main accomplice of this
crime."

I agree with calling the IDF terrorists, but why ask only
Islamic governments to do so? This makes it appear as though
Iran does not expect other governments to perceive the IDF as
terrorists, when IDF terrorism should be obvious to all
governments of former victims of the Western colonial powers.

Arab and Muslim leaders blame West for Gaza misery
[quote]
Hypocrisy, double standards and a failure to understand the
region. These are the charges being levelled at the West,
primarily the US, by leaders of 57 Arab and Muslim countries who
convened at the weekend in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
Few people I spoke to at the summit expected Israel to take much
notice. Instead, it was clear that this summit and its intended
message of unity was aimed at Israel's biggest backer - the
United States. Leaders want the Biden administration and the
West in general to exert sufficient pressure on Israel to stop
the war altogether.

they are increasingly angry."

With India trade talks on ice, Canada’s ‘focus’ is on Nijjar
probe: Mary Ng
[quote]
International Trade Minister Mary Ng says Canada’s “focus” is
investigating the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar while trade
talks with India remain on ice.
“Right now, the focus for Canada is to let the work of the
investigation proceed. That’s really important because you’ve
heard me and the government talk about how important it is that
that investigation happens, given that we had a Canadian killed
on Canadian soil,” she said.
Canada’s relations with India have soured in the wake of a
public allegation by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Sept. 18
that Ottawa had “credible evidence” that agents of the Indian
government may have been involved in Nijjar’s death.
The Canadian-Sikh advocate was gunned down outside his gurdwara
in Surrey, B.C., in June.
India sharply rejected the allegations
