Well, I had always wondered about this. Someone once said
something along the lines of: "We cannot erupt our way to a
cooler climate". Bummer, I thought... (That article is in this
thread somewhere btw).

I imagine it would be difficult to arrive at any consensus among
people's with vastly differing worldviews based upon a lot of
ignorance and misunderstanding, and who have relegated much of
their own personnel sovereignty to the western god of technology
and his ever-evolving machines? Perhaps the first question we
should ask everyone is, do they really want to worship this god
to begin with?

such an issue in recent times...
