"whites" had never existed, but untrue in the sense of what the

thinking: "WE ARE PROGRESSING HUMANITY!!! WE ARE SO COOL!!!" In
other words, they have fully bought into the worldview of
progressivism. So even if all "whites" magically vanished
tomorrow, they would surely continue doing machinism. It would
probably take at least until the last graduates of Western
compulsory schooling have died off before we get a new
generation that does not take progressivism for granted. (But if
we are unlucky, by then AI will be able to do it all on its own
already, and so it will still be too late.)

Doesn't the same apply to those "non Westerners" who are
comfortable living with Western Civilization, in the sense that
even though they would not be enjoying the comforts if
Westerners had not invented them, but would see no problem with
Western Civilization surviving provided they are able to enjoy
their comforts?

Yes, there are plenty like that. We can further subdivide these
into two categories: those who believe non-Western civilizations
would have modernized eventually even absent contact with
Western civilization, and those who understand modernity as
uniquely Western. The latter are more likely to be pro-Western
than the former.

What is wrong with this? In fact, it is Westerners, who felt the
need to industrialize in order to maintain their population
growth, who are the problem. We could say that those who fear
Malthusian trap are [b]Yahwhists , and Westerners in particular
who invent new machines to avoid falling into this trap to be
Progressive Yahwists.
I agree that we should ensure future generations don't go
through this, but the way to do this is not to become Westerners
ourselves (which is what the tweeter wants), but to ensure that
Westerners (who are now planning to colonize space in order to
avoid the "trap") cease to exist once and for all.

I agree with your main point, but please do not try to redefine:

which refers to the goal of perpetual complexification, not the
goal of mere perpetual population expansion (which falls under
elementary Yahwism). I agree there is practical convergence, as
the latter will also become more complex during pursuit of
population expansion, but in this case complexity is not the
goal but merely a side-effect. A true progressive Yahwist seeks
complexification as a value in itself.
On the other hand, I want to emphasize that the Malthusian trap
is a bad thing from our perspective also, however not for the
reason that it limits population from perpetual expansion, but
for the reason that it involves population exceeding carrying
capacity and then crashing in an uncontrolled manner, with
consequently a high probability of the survivors being the
racially inferior (hence more motivated to reproduce even while
experiencing a Malthusian trap).
I could even argue that Malthusian traps were part of the
selective pressure leading to the emergence of those who were
racially inferior enough to eventually became Westerners. This
