It's OK for Alysa Liu's egg donor to be "white":

--- Quote ---
> Alysa Liu has a unique birth story that was made possible by
modern science. She and all her siblings were born through in
vitro fertilization or IVF. This process used anonymous egg
donors and surrogate mothers.
> ...
> However, Alysa does have a mother figure in her life named Yan
Qingxin, who goes by Mary. Mary was married to Arthur when Alysa
was born. She acted as Alysa’s legal guardian and helped raise
the children. Even though Arthur and Mary eventually got
divorced, she is still a close part of the family. The children
love her and call her Mom.
> ...
> What is Alysa Liu’s parents’ ethnicity and nationality?

> Alysa Liu comes from a diverse background. Her father Arthur
Liu is of Chinese ethnicity and holds American nationality. He
became a U.S. citizen after moving here from the Sichuan
province in China. Alysa’s biological mother was an anonymous
egg donor who was white.

his children to have a multicultural heritage.

If it were purely about multiethicity, why not choose "black"
egg donors? We all know why not. (Hint: read the last comment in
the immediately preceding post.)
Note Arthur's face shape again fitting my theory:

But "New China" is arguably even more Eurocentric than Arthur:

--- Quote ---
> Her father, Arthur Liu, went into exile at age 25 in the 1990s
from Guangzhou, China to the United States due to the
persecution of participants in the 1989 Democracy Movement.

for China as a part of its "naturalization project" to recruit
overseas athletes in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

A sensible autocracy would surely not want pro-democracy blood
in their gene pool. But for "New China", whatever negativity
Arthur's blood is associated with is outweighed by the perceived
value of Alysa's matrilineal blood.
The reproductive Eurocentrism defenders are already in:

> As an immigrant who came to the US when he did, I’m sure he
experienced a lot more racism than you or I have (also Chinese;
second gen). If being able to choose your children to be closer
to whiteness to prevent them from experiencing the same racism
you’ve faced, I can understand that thinking.

::)

> Won't be very easy to say "I only want Asian egg donors" in
the states cause...there are just much less Asians? Rumors had
it that Eileen Gu's dad is also a sperm donor (obviously white).
I don't see anything wrong in there as a Chinese myself.

::)
Fortunately there is one woke comment:
--- Quote ---
> I too find it weird that her dad used an egg donor and also
the things he's said about it before -- to me it comes off as
self-racism .
--- End Quote ---
And then there are these Eurocentrists who may be the most
pathetic of all:
