"would you agree that we shouldn't necessarily encourage an
immigration policy that actively selects for low technical
       proficiency per se?"
       I agree.
"occupying major positions in the high-tech sector in
disproportionately high numbers relative to their population,
due to the fact that immigrants of low-technical proficiency now
outnumber immigrants of high technical proficiency."
I have always opposed quota hiring. I believe the correct
solution is not for the state to demand private businesses hire
proportionately, but for the state to eliminate from the economy
altogether those sectors (such as the high-tech sector) which
hire disproportionately according to measures such as IQ test
scores. We already saw a prelude to this happening in education:
  HTML https://trueleft.createaforum.com/issues/academic-decolonization/msg3000/#msg3000
so I believe it can be made to happen in business also if
leftists play our cards well. Just as such subjects were never
meant to exist, neither were such jobs. It was Western
civilization alone which brought them into existence, and it is
time this mistake ceases to be perpetuated.
"ignoble "Blacks" will become more open to embracing high
technical proficiency as the "Whites" can now convince them the
development of more machines is in their (Eurocentric)
       reproductive interest!"

One step closer to the all-seeing eye of Yahweh:
       --- Quote ---
       > Amazon’s Ring is the largest civilian surveillance network the
       US has ever seen
       > [...]
       > One in 10 US police departments can now access videos from
millions of privately owned home security cameras without a
       warrant
       > [...]
       > In a 2020 letter to management, Max Eliaser, an Amazon
software engineer, said Ring is “simply not compatible with a
free society”. We should take his claim seriously.
       > [...]
       > Ring’s pervasive network of cameras expands the dragnet of
everyday pre-emptive surveillance – a dragnet that surveils
anyone who passes into its gaze, whether a suspect in a crime or
not. Although the dragnet indiscriminately captures everyone,
including children, there are obvious racial, gendered and
class-based inequities when it comes to who is targeted and
labelled as “out of place” in residential space. Rahim Kurwa, a
professor of criminology, law and justice at the University of
Illinois at Chicago, argues that neighborhood surveillance
platforms such as Neighbors perpetuate a much longer history of
the policing of race in residential space.
       >
       > The concerns of activists and scholars have been compounded by
developments in facial recognition technology and other forms of
machine learning that could be conceivably applied to Ring
recorded content and live feeds. Facial recognition technology
has been denounced by AI researchers and civil rights groups for
its racial and gendered biases. Although Ring doesn’t currently
use facial recognition in its cameras, Amazon has sold this
technology to police in the past. Following pressure from AI
researchers and civil rights groups, Amazon placed a one-year
pause on police use of its controversial facial recognition
technology, but this moratorium will expire in June.
       --- End Quote ---

Meanwhile, Western civilization junkies complain all the time
about surveillance technology used in China, without ever
stopping to think (1) the same--if not more
massive--surveillance networks exist in the US, UK, and other
Western nations and (2) this type of dystopian spying wouldn't
even have been possible without Western civilization!

And how has technology advanced since the moon landing?
Scientists can watch thoughts travel inside a brain:
  HTML https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/video-see-a-thought-move-through-a-living-fishs-brain-9223326/
Elon Musk has been implanting chips into the brains of monkeys
and pigs to monitor their thoughts, and has plans to do it to
       humans in the future.

Every day we come closer to creating sentient AI. (There are
even tech companies naming themselves "Skynet" because they
think it's cool and want to speed up the process! Not even
       mentioning the transhumanist movement.)
Billionaires can launch anything they want into space and are
leading the movement to colonize Mars.
Already private corporations have polluted the moon with
lifeforms from Earth, and others have come up with ideas on how
to send DNA and microorganisms deep into another solar
system/galaxy in order to colonize it.
  HTML https://trueleft.createaforum.com/true-left-vs-right/if-western-civilization-does-not-die-soon/msg4502/#msg4502
Genetic modification technology which already exists will allow
scientists or nations to completely eliminate any noble
personality traits and replace them with completely slavish ones
(once the genes determining various personality traits become
       discovered).
We are basically living within the Matrix, as governments and
tech companies have access to everything we've ever done on the
internet and can use that information to manipulate and profit
off of people. People carry a GPS tracker on them at all times
(phones) and in larger cities, are constantly on camera (and
some cities are under constant watch by high resolution
surveillance satellites, if I recall correctly).
Population will have increased from under 4 billion in 1969 (the
Moon landing) to 8 billion in 2023. It will be almost 9 billion
by 2035 (66 years after the Moon landing). (Shit, I remember
learning in school about how 6 billion was such a huge
milestone). Due to the increased demand for manufacturing and
grazing land for cattle to sustain this doubled population,
pollution has reached insane levels. More humans are enslaved
today than at any point in history, and more animals are
enslaved today than at any point in history.
Microplastics are in every part of the environment and are
inside every living organism. A plastic bag has even been
discovered in the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the
       oceans.

will include a few extra passengers than usual - more than 5,000
microscopic creatures being used to investigate the impact of
zero gravity and long-term space travel on the human body.

because they resemble the animals under a microscope.
       >

       indestructible.

       the experiment.

spaceflight, and can even survive prolonged exposure to the
       vacuum of outer space."
       >

resilience can be applied to astronauts.
       >
       > The tardigrades will be joined by a separate consignment of
128 baby bobtail squid, which are being sent to the station by
       the University of Florida.
       >
       > They are part of an experiment designed to focus on how
microbes, which are vital for a healthy digestive system, react
       with human tissue in space.
       >
       > Bobtail squid, which are only three millimetres long, glow in
the dark, making it easier for scientists to track the impact of
       bacteria on the body.
       >

healthy digestive and immune system," said Jaimie Foster, who is
