Interesting, I had completely forgotten about the post above
yours. That certainly adds a new dimension to this conflict!
Thanks for the reminder. I did chuckle a little when I saw
India's media station First Post speak on India stating it had
delivered "non-escalatory strikes" in Pakistan this morning. I
was always under the impression that the only "non-escalatory"
strike is a killing blow to the opponent?

And here I was hoping that India and Pakistan (newly fellow
victims of Trump's tariffs) could use this present opportunity
to improve mutual relations. That won't be happening now.
We had the best demographic luck when the Ukraine war broke out
(extra "white" deaths every day). But then Israel then started
massacring Palestinians, in effect cancelling out our
demographic fortune. Now if we get even more "non-white" deaths
as a consequence of war between India and Pakistan, our
demographic dynamic will be net negative even if the Ukraine war
       continues.
The only possible silver lining if an India-Pakistan war
escalates would be its function as an incentive for both Indians
and Pakistanis to flee India and Pakistan respectively,
preferably to the UK, Australia, Canada, etc..

Kashmir tensions escalate: Is diplomatic resolution feasible?
       --- Quote ---
       > Pakistan's army claims an Indian drone strike hit a military
installation in Lahore overnight. Officials say one of 25 Indian
drones was shot down after breaching Pakistani airspace. The
attack reportedly killed one civilian and injured four soldiers.
India, meanwhile, says it targeted an air-defense system in
Lahore and accuses Pakistan of launching its own missile and
       drone attacks.

'Confrontation could expand': Pakistan Defence Minister warns
       India over border strikes
       --- Quote ---
       > Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif told Al Jazeera that
while Islamabad seeks de-escalation, Indian aggression—including
drone strikes and 78 warplane incursions—has made confrontation
"imminent." He confirmed Pakistani forces downed five Indian
jets but could not verify the exact number of Indian casualties,
noting clashes along the Kashmir Line of Control. Asif warned of
potential expansion to international borders but called nuclear
war "worrying." He accused Prime Minister Modi of stoking
tensions to distract from India’s domestic unrest and reiterated
Pakistan’s offer for independent investigations into Indian
claims of terrorist camps. Despite this, he asserted Pakistan’s
right to respond "in kind" to attacks, stressing India’s refusal
to engage diplomatically leaves "no ray of hope" for peace.
