Guanajuato-based security analyst David Saucedo said there have
been many cases.
“A lot of them (officers) have decided to desert. They took
their families, abandoned their homes and they are fleeing and
in hiding,” Saucedo said. “The CJNG is hunting the elite police

Just confiscating particular weapons does not work. So long as
they are still allowed to own firearms, they will own firearms.
Firearm possession should be for Americans only, not for Western
occupiers. For a start, anyone who has ever displayed a
Confederate flag or a flag of any Western colonial power
(including Israel) should be permanently banned from owning
firearms. Similarly for anyone who has ever expressed views
supporting Western colonialism (e.g. opposing removal of
colonialist statues), and so on.
