Some False Leftists think democracy is a countermeasure to
corruption because the corrupt will be unpopular. In reality,
corruption does not preclude long-term popularity so long as the
corrupt are rightist:

A tyrant who arises out of aristocracy has no excuse for their
tyranny. A tyrant who arises from democracy has many excuses for
their tyranny, the most dangerous excuse being that their
tyranny must be the will of the majority or else they would not
have been elected into office in the first place. A tired and
thoughtless majority can easily accept this excuse.

Would have been interesting to see what the commenter @last9
would have said had you asked him to explain how immigration is
expensive to the host country? Immigrants pay taxes too in a
functional nation. In truth, immigrants increase the tax base
for a government and country.
Democracy is rule by a majority, not by "the people". @last9
seems to be confusing the idea of a government "for the people
and by the people" with democracy. An authoritarian leader also
comes "from the people" and maintains a government "for the
people", not just the majority of people at any given time...
How does a piece of paper in a box, a constitution for example,
protect anyone from anything? It doesn't, it's a piece of paper
in a box, it cannot even defend itself.
True Leftists do not want people dead for having differing
views, we simply want those who cannot do unto others as they
would want done unto themselves to simply stop reproducing
themselves.

believes that that 'authoritarianism is contrary to human
nature'. nor does he understand human nature at all.
It was shortly after neolithic farmers created the agrarian
revolution that humans and non-humans were capable for the first
time in history of being able to settle down in one location.
This settling allowed for an aristocracy to arise, which in turn
then created the foundations for human civilization:

Lastly, if authoritarianism, and monarchy in particular, go
against human nature, why do so many humans fantasize about the
medieval era for example? Why do girls want to be princesses and
queens, as an example?

This is actually not a good argument against democracy, as it
merely shows the desire to be at the top, yet autocracy in
reality means that almost everyone will not be at the top. The
true test is whether you would prefer to serve a monarch or
serve an elected leader.

This is also not a good argument, as it implies that a
government for the people is a good thing. See:

Higgins would be a good dictator precisely because he is not for
the people but against the violence of closed borders. If
Higgins were for the people, he would close the borders (even if
the majority of voters were not yet asking for the borders to be
closed) because doing so would insulate those inside the borders
from problems outside the borders.
The point of government is to do what is ethical (but which
would not be done absent government), not necessarily what is in
the interests of the governed.

I think why I separated the threads in regards to the same
debate @antihellinistic posted was because the second thread was
more of an attempt at tackling the 'human nature' comments some
of the commenters were bringing up against @antihellinistics
arguments. I was attempting to point out that human nature is
not necessarily drawn toward democracy either. As you have
pointed out in your response, human nature may not be drawn to
true autocracy either, but I wouldn't say it goes hand-in-hand
with democracy either. This was the point I was trying to make
in the second thread. Perhaps the better point is to say that
most people are merely expedient in their behavior, thus not
necessarily democratic or autocratic in nature, but ping in
between both opposing poles depending on the situation at hand?
This could certainly said about western business practices in
particular, especially when it comes to western corporate
entities and Judeo-Freemasonry in particular? A board of
directors is democracy, a CEO is an autocrat, etc.? The Supreme
Council of Freemasonry is autocratic, the lower lodges,
especially the blue lodge, is democratic, etc.?
