China's peace policy rejected by US
--- Quote ---
> During his keynote video address to the World Economic Forum
held in Davos, Switzerland, China's President Xi Jinping held
out an olive branch to the US, reiterating China's long-held
position that, "we should build an open world economy, uphold
the multilateral trading regime, discard discriminatory and
exclusionary standards, rules and systems, and takedown barriers
to trade, investment, and technological exchanges.” He warned
against building small circles or starting a new Cold War, and
rejected attempts to "threaten or intimidate others, to
willfully impose decoupling [from China], supply disruption or
sanctions, and to create isolation or estrangement (that) will
only push the world into division and even confrontation.”
>
> Xi called for a multilateral approach to solving the economic
crisis caused by the pandemic and emphasized that “No global
problem can be solved by any one country alone. There must be
global action, global response, and global cooperation.”
>
> Xi's call for multilateralism was endorsed by German
Chancellor Angela Merkel who stressed that “I would very much
wish to avoid the building of blocs.” Merkel told the Davos
Forum, “I don’t think it would do justice to many societies if
we were to say this is the United States and over there is China
and we are grouping around either the one or the other. This is
not my understanding of how things ought to be.” Referring to
Xi’s speech she said: “The Chinese president spoke yesterday,
and he and I agree on that. We see a need for multilateralism."
>
> How has the US responded to President Xi's comments? Incoming
Biden Administration Press Secretary Jen Psaki disregarded Xi's
remarks and reasserted the same old tired and stale US Cold War
rhetoric that "What we've seen over the last few years is that
China is growing more authoritarian at home and more assertive
abroad. And Beijing is now challenging our security, prosperity,
and values in significant ways that require a new US approach."
--- End Quote ---
--- Quote ---
> This pro forma rebuttal shows the inability of the US to move
beyond its narrow, self-absorbed foreign policy. The only
difference between Trump's "America First" policy and Biden's
faux multilateralism is that the Democrats want to lead the
anti-China pack while Trump acted as a lone wolf. The US wants
to see the relationship between itself and China as a clash of
civilizations. It views China as "authoritarian," without
defining what is meant by this all-inclusive term that seems to
be used to characterize any country that stands in opposition to
US economic, political and military hegemony. What the US calls
"authoritarian" is in actuality socialism with Chinese
characteristics. Based on surveys by Western polling agencies it
has the support of the overwhelming majority of the Chinese
people. And why shouldn't it? So-called Chinese
"authoritarianism" has saved China from COVID-19, lifted 800
million people out of poverty, and allowed China to peacefully
obtain in a few decades the wealth it took the West hundreds of
years of war, slavery, and genocide to accumulate.
>
> And how is China becoming more assertive abroad when it is
protecting its national sovereignty at home in Hong Kong,
Taiwan, the South China Sea, and its border regions? China is
protecting its core national interests like any other
nation-state. The US is more than willing to deploy troops
around the world, invade sovereign nations, and impose illegal
sanctions to protect its self-proclaimed national security
interests.
>
> Does China challenge the security, prosperity, and values of
the US? The US military budget is far larger than China's, it
has military bases surrounding China and sends its navy into
Chinese waters, none of which China does vis a vis the US. US
prosperity, or lack thereof, is due to US policy decisions, not
China's, and "American values" don't hold a candle to Chinese
values that have a legacy of thousands of years, not hundreds.
President Xi offers a vision of the world based on a peace
policy of mutual respect between nations, non-interference in
their internal affairs, and win-win cooperation to address the
pressing problems the world faces. The US can only respond with
its discredited Cold War rhetoric. It is morally, economically,
and politically bankrupt and should be rejected by all
peace-loving people and countries of the world.

Such a wonderful world Westerners have created. Are they even
capable of any good ideas at this point? As the author states,
"same tired old ideas". The mental stagnation of these people
alone is energy draining...
Most Western politicians are 'business' people who clearly do
not even understand what a nation-state is.

China and the U.S. need to cooperate, but acceptance comes first
--- Quote ---
> U.S. President Joe Biden delivered the first foreign policy
speech of his tenure at the State Department on Thursday. In the
speech, he called China the "most serious competitor" of the
U.S. However, he also stressed that the U.S. is ready to work
with China when it's in America's interest. What does Biden's
speech signal? How will that affect the China-U.S. relationship?

countries will get over this idea that our way of governing is
the only way! If any decent person with common sense would
spend some time in China, they would realize that the Chinese
government, and the Chinese people are doing an amazing job. I’m
not saying China is perfect, but our government and people here
in the US, are very far from perfect. Honestly I felt much safer
traveling around in China than I do anywhere here in the US.
With our freedom of speech we allow social media and other news
media to lie and spread conspiracy theories, including
politicians. With our second amendment we allow so many
individuals to carry guns that should not be allowed. Nowhere in
this country is truly safe. And then we have freedom of religion
where we have many religious organizations and politicians
trying to force their particular religious beliefs on others.
And that has caused even more discrimination right alongside
racism. Our country has done some good in the world but we have
also done much harm and I think we could, and should do much
better. But first we need to realize that our way is not the
only way, or the better way. If we truly want to make the world,
not just the US, a better place, then I believe China should be
our best friends. Together, instead of just trying to make
America great, we can make the world great! Because we are all
in this together!

Westerners need to realize that the future is socialist, WWII
only delayed this fact. The human population, and especially the
non-human population, cannot survive another 100 years of
capitalism.

This episode from a TV Series on the Korean War in 1950 well
depicts the dire conditions under which the war was fought and
highlights the contrast between the two sides (China & US allied
forces) in terms of military equipment and provisions. Perhaps a
foreshadow of how things were to unfold in the 70 years that
followed?

While the graph highlights attitudes towards China, note how
attitudes towards Russia are the other way round: 50% Blues want
more hostility towards Russia as opposed to only 33% Reds. The
outdated perspective of seeing Russia and China as one bloc, and
hence being either friendly towards both or hostile towards
both, is over. Now it is about whether the US considers itself a
Western country (hence siding with Russia) or a non-Western
country (hence siding with China). We are here to promote the
latter.

Now should be the time for Biden to portray hostility towards
China as a characteristically rightist attitude and hence a
reason for leftists to become more friendly towards China as a
way to counter rightism. (Of course, knowing Biden, he is likely
to do the exact opposite: try to be more hostile to China in
order to placate rightists.)
Also note from the second graph how Demographic Blueshift helps
with friendliness towards China. Ultimately, it will be
Demographic Blueshift, not Biden, which will improve US-China
relations:

What Biden can do is speed up Demographic Blueshift.

Well said! That's Western civilization for you. I've wondered a
couple times if the U.S. foreign policy is actually to make it's
self look so stupid and ignorant that it's opponent's can then
somehow be more easily duped? How can anyone be so stupid in the
U.S. to not realize how ridiculous the country looks on the
world stage at this point? Who are these people listening to
exactly? Are they trying to mark America as the most ridiculous
nation thus far in human history? With all the problems the U.S.
has domestically, for it's political leaders to tell other
nations what they should do is hypocrisy to the umpteen degree.
It's so ridiculous it boggles the mind....
"White" Western colonialist with nukes chutzpah I guess, what
else could it be?

"With all the problems the U.S. has domestically, for it's
political leaders to tell other nations what they should do is
hypocrisy to the umpteen degree."
I strongly disagree. The US' willingness to tell others what to
do is one of its main redeeming qualities. For example, if not
for the US, Apartheid South Africa might still exist:
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disinvestment_from_South_Africa#United_States_campaign_(1977%E2%80%931989)
The only problem is that this extremely valuable quality is
currently directed at the wrong targets and about the wrong
issues. We are here get the US back to the correct targets and
the correct issues, not to smother this quality.
It is Dugin who wants the US to lose this quality:
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundations_of_Geopolitics
--- Quote ---
> Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal
American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and
ethnic, social and racial conflicts, actively supporting all
dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups,
thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It
would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist
tendencies in American politics".[9]
