China Attacks US As Report Says Cash-Strapped Cuba Paid Billions

set up an electronic eavesdropping facility on the island.

communications from the southeastern United States, home to many
military bases.

Common sense:

--- Quote ---
> China-US rivalry worries people in Singapore, South Korea,
Philippines
> ...

competition will be negative," said a report released on Monday
by the Eurasia Group Foundation (EGF) which surveyed a total of
1,500 adults across the three countries.

many countries in the region are anxious about getting caught in
the whirlwind of power rivalry swirling between the two sides of
the Pacific.
>
> At the Boao Forum for Asia in March, Singaporean Prime
Minister Lee Hsien Loong warned that the US-China relationship
was the "most worrying" issue, with tensions between the two
felt "keenly" across the world.
> ...
> The EGF survey found that about half of respondents in
Singapore, South Korea and the Philippines chose "tensions
between the US and China" as one of the most "pressing
challenges" facing their country.

The solution is also included:
--- Quote ---
> The report also found that positive views of China don't
preclude a positive attitude towards the US, including its
government, culture and foreign influence. "A gain for China is
not necessarily America's loss," it said.

Xi should have taken it as a compliment and then reminded

Why do some people have problems with authority?
--- Quote ---
> Let’s say you’re an adult and all your life you’ve had
problems with authority, or should I say problems with people in
a position of authority. A typical such person, used to get into
conflicts with teachers, caretakers, sports coaches, probably
police as well. Later, that reflected during military service
(if applicable), but more so at work. The conflict was
transferred and projected on managers.
>
> We’re talking here about consistently placing oneself
antagonistic, opposite to people in a position of power. A life
pattern, not remote or justifiable episodes (like rioting
against abusive measures). If you have problems with authority,
then by default: the teacher, the police officer, the coach, the
manager are the enemy. No need for a justification. The person
having these problems also gets the whole angry pack “benefits”:
frustration, anger, impatience, somatization, episodes of
depression and possible substance abuse. In turn, these cause
trouble retaining jobs, relationships (both romantic and
friendly).

Perhaps the better question is, why do Westerners have such
problem with authority unless it's their own tribe in power?

"Xi should have taken it as a compliment"
As I have said before, every time Eurocentrist Xi acts like
"dictator" is a negative term, he is in effect saying that he is
ashamed of every emperor in Chinese history, and of Chinese
civilization as a whole for (unlike Western civilization) never
questioning autocracy. Deep down, he probably is!
