More Western-style problem 'solving':
HTML https://www.businessinsider.in/science/news/burp-catching-mask-for-gassy-cows-designed-to-reduce-methane-emissions-and-slow-down-climate-change-wins-prestigious-prince-charles-prize/articleshow/91206976.cms
An innovative face mask for cows, designed to reduce
methane emissions and slow down climate change, has won a
prestigious design award.
The wearable device for cattle, created by UK-based design group
Zelp, was one of the four winners of the inaugural Terra Cart
Design Lab competition.
Prince Charles, who launched the competition as part of his
Sustainable Markets Initiative, hailed the ground-breaking
design as "fascinating" at an awards ceremony in London on
Wednesday, The Telegraph reported.
The design, a smart harness for cows, converts methane into
carbon dioxide and water vapor.
Cows expel significant quantities of methane, an odorless
greenhouse gas, which is more than 25 times as potent as carbon
dioxide at trapping heat in the atmosphere.
Achieving significant reductions in methane emissions would have
a rapid effect on slowing down climate change, per the United
States Environmental Protection Agency.
A single dairy cow can produce up to 130 gallons of methane per
day. And their burps account for 95% of a cow's methane
emissions. There are approximately one billion cattle
worldwide.
Non-Western solution: breed fewer cows.
Western 'solution':
HTML https://www.businessinsider.in/thumb/msid-91206340,width-700,resizemode-4,imgsize-891250/science/news/burp-catching-mask-for-gassy-cows-designed-to-reduce-methane-emissions-and-slow-down-climate-change-wins-prestigious-prince-charles-prize/img626a63e37f0c1c0018904fb6.jpg
In the past, solutions to the cattle industry's methane
problem have involved changing cows' diets.
Wouldn't it be simpler for humans to change their diets to
exclude cows?
But Zelp's solution allows cows to digest typical food,
with the mask working to detect, capture, and oxidize the
methane in the cow's burps.
A sensor at the tip of the masks detects when a cow exhales and
the percentage of methane expelled, WIRED reported. The mask
sets the oxidation mechanism into action when methane levels are
too high.
Westerners cannot grasp that the root cause of the problem is
greed. We are in this mess because too many subhumans like
eating cows. The best solution is to stop eating cows (or,
better yet, eliminating the bloodlines of the subhumans who like
eating cows). This is so obvious that it is impossible to miss.
Yet in the Western worldview, to reduce greed is to "surrender"
to the problem. In Western thinking, "solving" means getting
what they want while avoiding the side-effects they don't want.
Which usually means adding machines. In so doing, they get to
sustainably eat as many cows as they are used to, but the cows
have to suffer even more than they previously did.
(And what about the environmental impact of manufacturing the
masks?)

How to be a Western scientist (one of the most highly respected
professions in Western civilization) contd.:
HTML https://us.yahoo.com/entertainment/pinch-might-able-breathe-butt-140003847.html
In a pinch, you might be able to breathe through your
butt
...
scientists created a scenario in which pigs and mice in a
laboratory were deprived of normal respiration and ventilated
via the intestines. To improve the likelihood of oxygen uptake,
some animals had their intestines scrubbed in order to thin the
mucosal lining and reduce the barrier to the blood stream. Their
findings were published in the journal Clinical and
Translational Resource and Technology Insights.
Unsurprisingly, control animals who were deprived of respiration
and received no intestinal ventilation, died after about 11
minutes. Animals who received intestinal ventilation without the
intestinal scrubbing survived almost twice as long, about 18
minutes, indicating that there was some oxygen uptake. Lastly,
75% of those animals who had been scrubbed and received
pressurized oxygen into the rectum, survived for an hour, the
total length of the experiment.
This seemed to prove that mice and pigs are capable of
intestinal respiration under the right conditions, giving
researchers reason to believe that other mammals — like humans —
might have the same capability.
However, the process of scrubbing the intestines is potentially
dangerous and researchers wanted to uncover if there was an
alternative solution which could achieve similar results. Their
answer turned out to be oxygen-rich liquids known as
perfluorocarbons. They repeated a similar experiment, again
using mice and pigs, but this time they flooded the intestines
which perfluorocarbons instead of gaseous oxygen. They found
that the animals experienced increased blood oxygen levels which
measured at normal levels.
Who is worse:pure (empirical) scientists, or applied (machinist)
scientists?
Machinists want to build machines because it makes it easier for
them to exploit Goys, while empirical scientists want to gain
more knowledge, exploiting Goys in the process, because it will
help them exploit more Goys in the future. Not really any
difference at the end of the day tbh.

"Who is worse:pure (empirical) scientists, or applied
(machinist) scientists?"
Machinists are technologists, not scientists. It is certainly
true that the Industrial Revolution (let alone the current AI,
Transhumanist and Space Revolutions that we are desperately
trying to stop) would not have happened without the Scientific
Revolution happening first:
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_Revolution
Just as Western machinists have no moral sense that some things
are not meant to be done, similarly Western scientists have no
moral sense that some things are not meant to be known. Both are
ultimately Homo Hubris, whose only guideline is to try to
do/know as much as can be done/known (especially if no one else
has successfully done/known it before). This is the type of
personality that Western civilization produces when it is
working as intended.

"Machinists are technologists"
I see. But I frequently hear the phrase "applied sciences" used
to refer to (Western) engineering disciplines, so I assumed
technologists could be classified as "applied scientists".
However, you correct that they are not "scientists" in the
actual definition of the word, as a scientist by definition is
one who advances knowledge.
The newspaper writes that there could be thousands of
boars wandering the streets of Rome, scaring the citizens and
devouring piles of rubbish left on the roads.
...
But it's not just their 200-pound stature and sharp tusks that
scare the locals, but the soaring cases of African swine fever
affecting domestic pigs, which — while harmless to humans — pose
a serious threat to the production of Italy's famed prosciutto
ham.
So let's get this straight. Westerners initiate daily
industrial-scale violence on countless numbers domestic pigs in
order to produce prosciutto ham. Scavenging wild boars are
disrupting this sustainable evil. And the wild boars are the
ones portrayed as the bad guys?
So what is the Western response?
To cull the population of boars, the Italian government's
anti-boar tsar Angelo Ferrari told The Times that fencing had
been erected along Rome's 68km surrounding ring road.
"The plan is for all those inside the ring road to get infected
and die, even as we carry out a significant depopulation outside
the city," he said.
Then, hunters in the Lazio region around Rome were given extra
hunting permits to continue the cull, with officials hoping
50,000 could be destroyed.
So wild boars are also to become victims of Western initiated
violence, because Western civilization insists that prosciutto
ham be sustainable.
Under the Common Agricultural Policy of the European
Union (EU), certain well-established meat products, including
some local prosciutto, are covered by a Protected Designation of
Origin (PDO) – DOP in Italian – and other, less stringent
designations of geographical origin for traditional specialties.
Various regions have their own PDO, whose specifications do not
in general require ham from free-range pigs.
Prosciutto ham would not exist in an Islamic Italy. This is why

HTML https://us.yahoo.com/news/california-must-euthanize-350-000-192325157.html
A bacteria outbreak in two state hatcheries is forcing
the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to euthanize
about 350,000 rainbow trout, which could affect fishing stock in
some state waterways this summer.
Two Fish and Wildlife hatcheries in the Eastern Sierra have been
fighting an outbreak of a naturally occurring bacteria,
Lactococcus petauri, since it was first detected in April,
according to a news release from the agency. But this week,
staff at the Black Rock and Fish Springs hatcheries determined
that about 350,000 infected rainbow trout were showing signs of
disease and must be euthanized.
The two facilities typically stock waterways for recreational
fishing in Imperial, Inyo, Mono, Riverside and San Bernardino
counties, so availability in those areas will potentially be
affected. But Fish and Wildlife officials are working to
contract with external vendors to ship in other stock to not
substantially affect fishing opportunities, the statement said.
The statement said officials are hoping to approve this new
contract in July to be able to add the additional stock to
waterways soon after, as well as supplement with other state
hatcheries.
“This loss is a huge disappointment, but we were prepared for
this possibility and are doing all we can to ensure to continued
angling opportunity for the public,” Russell Black, a fisheries
supervisor with the Fish and Wildlife, said in a statement. “The
fish from the private contractor and stocks from non-infected
hatchery facilities will help bridge the gap while we work to
vaccinate the remaining stocks at the affected
facilities.”
