In case it wasn't obvious why they did it in the first place and
continue to do it--it's more economically sustainable. It's more
"environmentally sustainable" too, since they don't need to grow
food for 300 million additional chickens, etc.

HTML https://www.yahoo.com/news/locals-fret-colombia-declare-hippos-000011946.html
Within weeks, Colombia's government plans to sign a
document declaring the hippos an exotic invasive species,
according to Environment Minister Carlos Eduardo Correa. This
means coming up with a plan for how to control their population,
which has reached 130 and is projected hit 400 in eight years if
nothing is done as they flourish in Colombia's rivers.
...
Most people interviewed in Puerto Triunfo, some 200 kilometers
(120 miles) of the capital, Bogota, say they can get along with
the hippos and many oppose even sterilization — let alone
killing some.
“They make laws from a distance. We live with the hippopotamuses
here and we have never thought of killing them," said Isabel
Romero Jerez, a local conservationist. "The hippopotamuses
aren't African now; they are Colombians.”
...
Locals say the hippos sometimes come out of the water and walk
through the streets of the town. When that happens, traffic
stops and people keep out of their way.
“The human animal is the one that invades their territory, that
is why they feel threatened and attack," said Romero
Jerez.
Exactly! All this is obvious to a non-Westerner. But how do
Westerners see it?
Daniel Cadena, a biologist and dean of sciences at the
Universidad de Los Andes, said they are aggressive animals and
not as gentle as people imagine.
But can it seriously be argued that hippos are more aggressive
than humans, especially Westerners, and above all Western
scientists? Therefore Western scientists are the first ones whom
we should be killing!

Alligator receives the Emmett Till treatment:
HTML https://www.yahoo.com/news/huge-alligator-seen-terrorizing-paddleboarder-202912913.html
A terrifying encounter between a Florida paddleboarder
and an 11-foot, 10-inch alligator has ended in the reptile being
killed as a potential threat to humans, according to the Florida
Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The alligator was trapped Feb. 22 and removed at the request of
Silver Springs State Park, where the incident occurred in
September, state officials told McClatchy News.
It was dispatched with a shot to the head, Fresh Take Florida
reported, and state wildlife officials say its body was
processed for its hide and meat.
The deadly measure was authorized after photos and video
surfaced on social media of the alligator swimming up close to
paddleboarder Vicki Reamy Baker, including bumping its snout
against the craft.
...
“Why are you messing with me? Why are you trying to bite me?”
Baker is heard saying in one video.
“I’ve never had an alligator after me like that before. Look how
close he is to me. He came after me and tried to bite my
paddleboard. Somebody has been feeding that gator. Makes them
very dangerous.”
In one video, an observer is heard telling Baker she should back
away from the alligator “considering you just made him pretty
mad,” after she pushed the gator away with her paddle.
...
“He came up fast and out of nowhere. Scared the daylights out of
me,” Baker wrote on Facebook.

“Nuisance alligators” are defined as those that are “at
least 4 feet in length and believed to pose a threat to people,
pets or property,” the state says.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission provides
nuisance alligator removal services at no cost, using contracted
trappers. The trappers get to keep the alligator carcass for its
meat and hide as part of their compensation, the state
says.
Nuisance Westerners are defined as those that are at least
post-Renaissance in machinery and believed to pose a threat to
everything non-Western they come into contact with, 90sRF says.
True Leftism provides nuisance Westerner removal services at no
cost, using Demographic Blueshifters. The Demographic
Blueshifters get to keep former Western territory as part of
their compensation, 90sRF says.

and not just an art project to expose the cruelty of ranching?
Philosopher Paul Thompson from Purdue University has
suggested "The Blind Chicken Solution." He argues that chickens
blinded by "accident" have been developed into a strain of
laboratory chickens that don't mind being crowded together as
much as normal chickens do. As a result, he argues, we should
consider using blind chickens in food production as a solution
to the problem of overcrowding in the poultry industry. He
argues that it would be more humane to have blind chickens than
ones that can see.
But Ford goes a step further and proposes a "Headless Chicken
Solution." This would involve removing the cerebral cortex of
the chicken to inhibit its sensory perceptions so that it could
be produced in more densely packed conditions without the
associated distress. The brain stem for the chicken would be
kept intact so that the homeostatic functions continue to
operate, allowing it to grow.
Ford proposes this solution for two reasons: To meet the rising
demand for meat, particularly poultry, and to improve the
welfare of the chickens by desensitizing them to the unpleasant
reality of their existence.
[...]
He added: "There are numerous differences between the current
dominant production systems and the one I am proposing, but the
fundamental difference is the removal of suffering. Whether what
I am proposing is an appropriate means to achieve the removal of
suffering is open to interpretation. In reality this should be
decided at the level of the individual consumer, at the counter,
handing over their money and 'voting' for their system of
preference."
Ford believes that the Headless Chicken Solution has the same
intentions as the lab-grown meats we have seen developed
recently. "The intentions are the same -- the synthesis of
animal protein without the suffering," he says.
There is also the bonus Western evil of suggesting to "vote with
your wallet" to end unspeakable evil that should never have been
allowed to exist at all.

If crazy Westerners had become nonexistent instead, the ants

cut short before antinatalism had time to take hold.
(Seriously, Westerners initiated violence by putting all those
electronic devices in the way. The ants are merely reacting to
devices which should never have been put there in the first
place. And Westerners respond by practicing Manifest Destiny on
the ants.....)

More Western empiricism in action:
HTML https://www.yahoo.com/news/organoids-help-researchers-understand-autism-182408501.html
“One of the real challenges in autism is that we don’t
have much of a biological understanding,” James McPartland, a
clinical psychologist and autism researcher at Yale University,
told The Daily Beast. “In most cases, we don’t even understand
mechanisms in terms of phenotype. It’s like if I say a person
with autism is less likely to make eye contact or more likely to
have a strong response to sound, we don’t even understand
exactly what’s the biological mechanism.”
But scientists are digging closer to unearthing that information
by growing miniaturized human brains, called organoids, in the
lab. In a new study reported in the journal Cell Reports on
April 5, researchers in Austria took clumps of brain cells
containing a mutated CHD8 gene—considered a strong genetic risk
factor for autism, among countless others—and were able to
glimpse how the gene affects early brain development.
“This is a very exciting direction of research,” Andrey
Vyshedskiy, a neuroscientist at Boston University who was not
involved in the study, told The Daily Beast. “Organoids are a
new technology in the last decade and are allowing us to conduct
experiments that can track neuronal development over time.”
...
Another method depends on animal models such as fashioning mice
with genetic mutations associated with autism, Gaia Novarino, a
neuroscientist at The Institute of Science and Technology in
Austria who led the study, told The Daily Beast. But a problem
with studying mice modified with a mutated CHD8 is that they
barely show macrocephaly, or an overly large head due to a
greater brain volume and a symptom seen in some people with
autism.
Going down the brain-in-a-petri-dish route, Novarino and her
team took commercially available human stem cells and
genetically altered one group to have the CHD8 mutation, leaving
the other untouched. These two groups of stem cells were then
coaxed to grow into functionally basic tissues containing
neurons usually found in the brain.
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerebral_organoid
Ethical concerns have been raised with using cerebral
organoids as a model for disease due to the potential of them
experiencing sensations such as pain or having the ability to
develop a consciousness.[40]
But they are being used anyway. I guess it was decided that it
is more important for Western scientists' brains (which probably
also have higher IQ test scores than the cerebral organoids) to
experience sensations such as discovery or having the ability to
develop Western science.
