UN chief: ‘Gaza is becoming a graveyard for children’
--- Quote ---
> The UN chief tells reporters Gaza is “becoming a graveyard for
children”.
>
> “Hundreds of girls and boys are reportedly being killed and
injured every day,” he said.
>
> “More journalists have reportedly been killed over a four-week
period than in any conflict in at least three decades,” he said.
“More United Nations aid workers have been killed than in any
comparable period in the history of our organisation.”

who have been killed in Gaza, many of them together with members
of their family,” Guterres added.
>

guards, support staff and a young woman named Mai. Mai did not
let her muscular dystrophy or wheelchair confine her dreams. She
was a top student, became a software developer and devoted her
skills to working on information technology for UNRWA.”

India's Anti-Israel Stand At UN Amid Gaza War; Votes Against
Israeli Settlements In Palestine
--- Quote ---
> India has voted in favour of an anti-Israel resolution at the
United Nations General Assembly. The resolution condemns Israeli
settlement activities in "Occupied Palestinian Territory,
including East Jerusalem, and in the occupied Syrian Golan."
India was among the 145 nations that voted in favour of the UN
resolution. The US and Canada are among the seven countries that
opposed the resolution. Watch this video to know more.

‘No rules at all’: Ex-UN official denounces Israeli lawlessness
--- Quote ---
> Mukesh Kapila, a former UN humanitarian agency coordinator,
says he has spent 30 years working in numerous conflicts around
the world but describes Israel’s ongoing attack on Gaza as
“unique”.
>
> He says that is because the most modern weapons are being used
in one of the most densely populated areas on the planet. Kapila
also denounced Israel’s repeated attacks on emergency services
workers and overwhelmed medical facilities.
>
> “What we’re seeing now is that all rules have broken down and
there are no norms because this is a war on a whole society.
There are really no rules at all. What we need to happen,
therefore, is a rescue from outside,” he told Al Jazeera.

UN honours staff killed in Gaza
--- Quote ---
> The casualty count in Israel's war on Gaza continues to rise
every hour. Yet diplomats at the UN have failed to come up with
a ceasefire resolution to stop the bloodshed. More than 100
United Nations staff are among those killed in Gaza since
October 7. And on Monday, the UN lowered its flag to half mast
to honour its workers killed by Israeli bombings. TRT World UN
Correspondent Frank Ucciardo has the story.

It does not!
--- Quote ---
> The U.N. special rapporteur to the occupied Palestinian
territory claimed this week that Israel does not have a right to
self-defense against Hamas under international law and accused
the country of committing "war crimes."
>
> The comments from Francesca Albanese came Tuesday during an
address to the National Press Club of Australia, when she deemed
Israel's right to self-defense "non-existent"
> ...
> "Israel cannot claim the right of self-defense against a
threat that emanates from a territory it occupies, from a
territory that is under belligerent occupation," Albanese said
from the event in Canberra, Australia.
> ...
> Albanese also expressed concern over the potential that Israel
"might commit the crime of genocide against the Palestinian
people" and took aim at the international community in her
speech, claiming most state governments are almost "completely
paralyzed" amid the unfolding crisis in the Middle East.
>
> "In the face of all of this, the international community is
almost completely paralyzed," she said. "I am being generous
when I say the U.N. is experiencing its most epic political and
humanitarian failure since its creation."
>
> "Individual member states, especially in the West, and
Australia is no exception, are on the margins," she added.
"Muttering notable words of condemnation for Israel’s success at
best or staying silent in fear of restraining Israel’s … claimed
right to self-defense. Whatever that means."
> ...
> She also used her speech to defend the Palestinians, saying
they had been subjected to a "violent structure of
dispossession, confiscation of land, and forcible displacement."
>
> "When it is widespread and systemic, [it] is not just a war
crime, it is a crime against humanity," Albanese said.
>

So, who disagrees with such a reasonable position?
--- Quote ---
> Anne Bayefsky, director of the Touro Institute on Human Rights
and the Holocaust, slammed Albanese's comments, saying they go
"hand-in-hand with all her other legally-indefensible claims"
surrounding the conflict.
>
> "Starting from October 7th until now, no major U.N. actor has
said plainly that Israel has a right of self-defense. This is
despite the fact that the U.N. Charter unambiguously declares
every U.N. member has the inherent right of self-defense,"
Bayefsky claimed in an email to Fox News Digital. "In the
deafening silence, anti-Israel and antisemitic extremists hiding
under the titles of U.N. 'experts,' have gone on the offensive
and proclaimed that Israel has no U.N. Charter right of
self-defense against the barbaric Palestinian terrorists who
slaughtered and butchered their people. The Nazis said the same
thing of their Jewish victims."
>
> "Albanese’s abhorrent remarks go hand-in-hand with all her
other legally-indefensible claims, such as defending a
Palestinian 'right to resist' that 'requires violence.'
Likewise, Navi Pillay, head of a U.N. so-called ‘Commission of
Inquiry’ against Israel created back in 2021, has repeatedly
spoken since October 7th of a Palestinian right of 'armed
struggle.' These aren’t misguided lawyers. They are champions of
hate, of antisemitism, of lethal violence against the Jewish
people. It is an atrocity that they are given U.N. titles and a
global platform of any kind at all," Bayefsky added.

Bravo to the South African panel for making a most articulate
rendition on Israel's genocidal intent in their military actions
against the Palestinians in Gaza. I see no reason at all for the
UN not to adjudicate in favour of the South African application
for provisional measures to be launched against Israel.

Palestinian refugees? Why doesn't the U.N. High Commissioner for
Refugees deal with them?

years after they lost their homes in Israel? Even on the worst
possible view of that dispossession—leaving aside, for example,
the fact that a lot of the Israelis doing the dispossession had
been kicked out of their own homes in Arab countries, Iran, and
Europe—leaving that aside, it was a long time ago.
>

How come they aren't still refugees under U.N. care 76 years
later? They settled where they could and got on with rebuilding
their lives.

will exercise the Samson Option and fry you and your Arab
brothers with nukes, perhaps us too.
