Trump launches 2024 presidential campaign

Eye-Opening Poll Shows Donald Trump's Chances Of Getting The GOP
Nomination
--- Quote ---
> Despite Donald Trump's failure to help Republicans take
control of the Senate, his party still believes he's the man to
beat in 2024. A new poll by Morning Consult/Politico taken just
after the midterms shows that 47% of GOP voters would support
the former president if the primaries were held today. The
number represents a drop of just 1% from his pre-midterm
numbers. More worrisome for Trump, however, is the result of a
follow-up question. Asked whether they thought Trump should run
for another term, just 61% said yes — down from a more rousing
71% in August 2022 and his lowest rating in the past 13 months.

Bolton would vote for DeSantis. More importantly, Bolton does
not think Trump will seriously run for the presidency, and that
there's no way Trump could slip through the cracks considering
how many Republicans will be running for the Republican
presidential nomination in 2024....

There seem to be two competing strategies among those who want a
Blue 2024 victory:
1) Help Trump win the Red nomination. This is based on the
estimate that DeSantis would do better than Trump in the
election.
2) Help DeSantis win the Red nomination. This is based on a
gamble that Trump might then run as a third-party candidate
which will split the right-leaning vote.
Which do you think is the better idea?

2) is the best strategy because Trump will do better than
DeSantis in the general election. This works out because even if
DeSantis does better in the general election, I am willing to
take a DeSantis victory over a Trump victory.

Of course, I would prefer Trump were assassinated ASAP in order
to make things easier.

On the other hand, if we want to prevent a Red victory
altogether, it is better to nominate Trump since he will do
worse in the general election due to his failure to recognize
the legitimacy of the 2020 election. We should also consider the
chance that Trump may be in jail by the time he wins the
nomination, which will for sure hurt his chances.

Trump's Niece Warns He's Ready To ‘Burn It All Down’ If
Republicans Don't Support Him
--- Quote ---
> Mary Trump, the niece of Donald Trump, says that her uncle is
prepared to "burn it all down" if Republicans don't fall in line
with his presidential bid. Two weeks ago it appeared that the
entire Party was ready to jump behind him, but the midterms
shook that up to the point where many true believers have
already abandoned the former President and are ready for
something new.

No, an indictment wouldn’t end Trump’s run for the presidency –
he could even campaign or serve from a jail cell

If Trump wins the election while in jail, he will no doubt
pardon himself upon inauguration. Which leaves us with only one
remaining option.
