Debate with the Empiricist
By: guest30 Date: July 25, 2022, 9:06 pm

I say that trolling when we do a debate is a bad thing. Because
it's not an ethical way if we present an arguments of facts, but
they just doing judging without facts too.
But they say that there's no a written rule that forbid them to
do a trolling on the forum. What is the best answer for this?
My answer recently is we can use our feelings to consider what
is bad and good.

Trolling is insincerity. Anyone who has been insincere once
should never be trusted to be sincere again. Therefore a debater
who trolls immediately loses credibility for all debates they
have ever participated in.
(Note that trolling is not to be confused for playing devil's
advocate. In the latter case, the debater warns beforehand that
they are about to make an argument that they themselves do not
believe in. This is intellectually honourable behaviour.)
